I don't seem to recall stating that on this board recently. Can you just find the post you are thinking of, and link to it?

I think there is a possibility you are thinking about somebody else.
Perhaps someday, it would take me a long time to find it.

Re: Study: Drinking coffee and tea is associated with a 32% lower risk of stroke

I like coffee. I do not see how drinking coffee is morally compromised by child labor in southern Mexico. Economic and family conditions in the area are responsible not coffee beans. If I buy drugs, wouldn't that contribute to the profit that the drug cartels make? Similarly, isn't buying coffee ma...

AHH cool. I never heard of that before. I wonder what other terms there are that include names.

What is an unshaped association? It's when the relationship between a variable and an outcome is not linear, but rather forms a U shape. I remember hearing a story where Nestle went to a 3rd world country. Gave all the women formula and then once the babies were on formula they pulled the aid and t...

Re: Seeing Things Differently -DanP the apologist excuse.

A religious definition of free will does not fit in with the world view of many on this board. I suppose that this, at least in part, is one of the reasons many folks find themselves saying (choose to say) that free will doesn’t exist. And yet simply by making that choice they are exercising agency...

Study: Drinking coffee and tea is associated with a 32% lower risk of stroke

However, the doctor in the video explains, "What the authors found is a U-shaped association, so I do want to exercise caution here. A lot of the time when we look at observational research, we can find these U-shaped association curves. But as we went through earlier, we cannot fully rely on this o...

Re: Doubting Thomas?

I don't believe in the LDS church anymore.

Doubting Thomas is "a person who is unlikely to believe something until they see proof of it."

https://www.oxfordlearnersdictionaries. ... ing-thomas

I first heard of the term Doubting Thomas while listening to a podcast.
