Re: Go Joe, Go!
We know the Chinese virus came from a lab in Wuhan. Really? How do we know that? I know that this was directed at Ajax, but I'm going to go ahead and comment on it, if that's ok (if it's not ok, too late, neener-neener). Outside of the former-President’s baseless conspiratorial assertions, and his ...

Re: Church helping in vaccine effort.
Hopefully that sum will help circumvent the financial hurdles many will likely have in other countries, to a degree that will be meaningful. Or, hopefully inspire others. in my opinion, the Church could likely do much more for the vaccine effort for absolutely free, by making every bishop read a Fir...

Re: Missionary Numbers plummet
To be fair, the pandemic and all of its unforeseen consequences has thrown a monkey wrench into just about everything, including missionary work. My guess is that it has had an impact on other churches and their outreach programs also. Wait a year or so and see if the numbers start picking back up ...

Re: Is Omniscience An Attribute of Deity in Mormonism?
There’s at least some kind of distinction between knowing something in advance and determining it in advance. If you haven’t seen The Empire Strikes Back, I have a spoiler for you about a family relationship. But I’m not George Lucas. So, if I'm understanding you correctly, there's a distinction be...

Re: Tiny home village for the homeless
There was a local non-profit (Food Not Bombs Las Vegas [FNBLV]) that built 20+ tiny homes here, along a wash. It’s been an area of homeless encampments for a long time, so building tiny homes seemed like a logical step. It was a perfect place for it too -- it's out of sight of anything tourist relat...

Is Omniscience An Attribute of Deity in Mormonism?
In another thread, a quote of Dr. Peterson’s regarding Calvinism was shared, followed a comment by Physics Guy: Peterson’s not going to shrug and accept predestined damnation as a respectable alternative religious belief—and I can only applaud. I imagine I share the opinion of many that the idea of ...
