I agree that the "Missing Papyrus Roll" theory is insane. Convenient how we have found all these Egyptologically-related fragments, but none from the Book of Abraham scroll itself? Plus, Gee's wild theory completely discounts the fact that the Book of Breathings characters are written down...

The McRib is back!!

Just wanted to share some great news--The McRib sandwich is back! If you've never had one of these, make it a point to run down to your local McDonalds for one. They're always around for a very limited time only, so don't put it off. Back in the late '80s it would return once a year or so. Of late, ...

Thanks for collecting all that and posting it, Ray! It seems to me that although Truman G. Madsen might have considered Studies of the Book of Mormon to be "untruth, spectacular, and bizarre," it's obvious that B. H. Roberts certainly didn't. Therefore, methinks he was duty-bound to devote...

Yes, Kevin was kind enough to allow two or three links to this site from his, so the least we can do is provide a link from here to there, of course. As Liz said, his focus is a little different over there. He's aiming for more high-brow interactions so potential LDS participants feel welcome. As fo...

Jersey Girl: Forgive me, but I think you're going about this the entirely wrong way. First, you posted a picture of the Twin Towers still standing, then asked what that says about the LATEST date the picture could've been taken. But on the other hand, you're trying to tell us when the EARLIEST date ...

Of course! Do you happen to know Mr. Scratch's? I don't think I've ever e-mailed him the traditional way, so I don't have it.

Of course, Kevin Graham is probably busy with his own board, so not having him around will be a regrettable loss.

How should history be written. . . or unwritten?

Ray A made a fascinating post about his experience with Truman Madsen's biography of B. H. Roberts--a biography that left out Roberts' struggles as related to his Studies of the Book of Mormon , the one work for which Roberts is most well-known, no less. This is, of course, a common charge from crit...

Wow, thanks for writing that up, Ray A! Very, very interesting.

In fact, the issues you raise have prompted me to start another thread on the proper way to write history.

I may have deleted for you. You know the one... *wink* I'm offended, _____, why didn't you email *me* <wink> <wink> --- edit: hey, this board doesn't show when you edit your post. Someone just messed with mine. I think it shows when you edit it; yours just showed. It doesn't show when a moderator e...

Yes, the one you're thinking of was definitely the one from which I mailed it.

This is really befuddling me. I'll be sure to tell you the address to which I sent it ASAP.

By the way, does anyone know the e-mail addresses of Rollo Tomasi and Who Knows?
