Re: Master Timeline of Mopologetics
This was around the time that a core group of second-tier apologists began littering the web with fake organizations to make it look like there was all this energy and innovation within the Church, but it was the same three or four people that entirely made up these bogus organizations that relied ...

Re: Master Timeline of Mopologetics
Perhaps another occurrence deserving of mention would be when FAIR formally divorced itself from its own message board, thus giving birth to the Mormon Apologetics and Discussion (MA&D) board.
I apologize for not remembering the date.

Re: Master Timeline of Mopologetics
I can't remember when it happened, but you ought to include the establishment of the much-hyped "The World Table" and how it was going to change online communication forever, but then it crashed, burned, and was sent down the memory hole about three months later.

Re: Master Timeline of Mopologetics
The original thread on ZLMB--which stands for "Zion's Lighthouse Message Board"--disappeared when the website went defunct, so it's no longer available. Doctor Scratch's magisterial--nay, epic--thread recounting it is at:

Re: Master Timeline of Mopologetics
May I add these? March 2004: Thomas Murphy delivers his power point presentation at Utah Valley University regarding Native Americans and the Book of Mormon. This in turn inspires the famous "More on Disingenuous Murphy" thread--a.k.a. "The Transcript Thread"--at ZLMB which led to its destruction an...

Re: 45% of women and it is hard not to care
According to the stats 45% of women over 24 have a history of 5 or more, I didn't make it up . WHO FREAKIN' CARES?? The fact that you're so hopelessly hung up on this is a major reason you're choosing to remain single instead of being out there in the world finding someone. What a woman does prior ...

Re: Rules of Patheos: Midgley appears to violate TOS 10x
It should be noted that Louis Midgley has had an intense and burning passion for the topic of homosexuality since at least the 90’s as evidenced by this letter he wrote to the Tanners: http://www.shields-research.org/Critics/TannerIn.htm Notice, in that essay, how when Midgley mentions the Tanners ...

Re: 45% of women and it is hard not to care
. . . I do care, I just don't think I will find the perfect woman. Congratulations, you're 100% correct! You WON'T find the perfect woman. But that's okay, no man ever has or ever will. . . . but guess what? It's still fair, because no woman has ever found the perfect man, or ever will. Once you un...

Re: The Mopologists Fantasize About "A Totally Different Morality"
On further reflection, I have to wonder what BYU administrators might do when presented with evidence that a tenured professor had entered into a very public, very specific, fund raising agreement — a contract — to benefit the Interpreter, a non-scholarly side hobby, no less, in demonstrably bad fa...
