Mike Otterson is doing a Q&A session at Liverpool stake centre on Sunday 15th May (the poster is on Facebook - I don't know how to share it here).

Re: I'm so furious with people who leave this church - Holla
Holland came to our mission and gave the same talk (except he said that the mission wasn't worth a bucket of warm spit).

Re: Mormon girl marries vegetable because God told her to
He is a human being. Don't be crass. If only the FP/12 could consider married gays and their children to be human beings. If only... . That would be nice, I agree. But linking to the woman's blog and referring to her husband as a vegetable strikes me as an unnecessarily cruelty. If something like t...

Re: Runnels SP denies request for signer/interpreter
I think it's a reasonable request given that there will be 12 + people in the room and Runnels may struggle to follow the dialogue, particularly if there are interruptions/digressions. Lip-reading in a one-on-one situation is much easier than in a meeting where people may mumble or speak over each o...

Re: 3 missionaries hurt in Brussels attack
I think, with regard to the lds members injured (I understand the elderly man is now in an induced coma), what I don't like is the headline that one of the chaps was in the direct vicinity of all explosions. He wasn't. Particularly the Paris massacre. I hope the church isn't using this tragedy for ...

Re: Bednar- No homosexual members of the Church
He is very focused on appearance, isn't he? Remember his talk about the girl with 2 earrings? Remember the talk in which he said: "Sister Bednar was gorgeous as a young woman. Now, that beauty is not in her physical attractiveness." Now he's talking about the challenge of being attractive ...

Yeah, it wasn't much fun! I felt really sorry for her and also quite pissed off with the church (so nothing new, I suppose).

Re: The drama and self absorption of a Mormon parent.
Many others share my experience. When children leave the gospel path, it can be very difficult for parents who remain faithful to cope. One mother was so upset by her daughter’s choices that she said it felt painful to breathe. A father shared that he felt his children were rejecting him and his wa...

Re: Oaks complains about the Christmas cards he gets
I suggest it would be more in the spirit of the season to simply give the gentleman judge a pass for occasionally doing what's in his nature, rather than becomingly overly judgmental to follow suit...and then some. Should I also judge and condemn my cat for walking across my keyboard? It's simply w...
