Lil update: Still 88 pounds. Not caring about that right now. Some days still get slight symptoms but nothing alarming. Crawly pins and needles feeling but much weaker than I ever had in the past year. Took the last kill pill today! I'd be happy to do one more round. Appt is on the 29th so we'll see what things are like at that time.

The new sofa....came yesterday, a day early! :) Absolutely love it! I don't go around buying new furniture every day. It's so nice to have something new and there's so much more space in the room now!

The old set...the ministry couldn't find someone to take it. Posted it on our local groups on Facebook for free and a really nice couple with a large family (and pets!) from just over a few blocks picked it up Monday, the day before the new one came. I love that their youngest is 4 years old. I told them to tell him that Miss Jersey said it's a real good bouncy couch! :) It'll be perfect for them! So happy how that worked out!

The pricey pillow covers I got for the big pillows that came with it are too small. So...keeping those for the smaller inserts I already have and ordered some less expensive ones on AMZ. It'll be really nice I think! Next up...interviewing painters for that room--ceilings to high for us to deal with now. Kind of dread interviewing but it's been my plan all along and so was the sofa. I slowly saved up a pile of $ during the pandemic so this plan has been in the works for about 3 years now. Planned and saved, now I'm ready! 8-)

Thanks so much. This poor thread has been going for over a year now that I've been very sick. I started it out of sheer desperation one night. Things seem to be looking better now.

I took the last kill pill yesterday! I mostly have no symptoms at all but when I do it's very mild. I know I'm better. I also know the infection can return. I would be happy to do another round of the antibiotics and I'll figure that out at my follow up appointment on the 29th. Still eating that limited diet. I will try to add back in foods one thing at a time. Not touching anything sugary because that's the main food source of the bad bacteria.

Every time I took a pill I said "Kill! Kill! Kill!"

Thus the term...kill pills! ;)

Folks I am officially sick of this. Sick of feeling hungry. Sick of skinniness. Hit the wall type sick of it. I gotta have something yummy. Got to have something close to normal food again.

So...I have got me a shopping list going to make Low FODMAP recipes using Monash University research. Apparently Monash is the be all end all of Low FODMAP diets.

What I've got so far:

Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal
Banana Bread
Chicken Noodle Soup (Already have the ingredients, making it tomorrow)
Homemade Butter Crackers (To go with Tuna)
ETA: Pumpkin pancakes

Working on and just making sure about:

Beef Stew
Various types of salads

Wish me luck. I'll either end up in an ER or I won't. 8-)

For types of salad, how do fresh herbs etc. set w you? I get a LOT of very satisfying flavor out of things like arugula, cilantro, oregano, basil, even thyme, rosemary, various lettuces, nasturtium leaves, mild onions and mild peppers.

I have to check them out with Monash. I know I can eat basil (growing fresh on the deck as we speak) and I should be able to eat lettuce of some sort. I should, in theory, be able to eat bell pepper. That's as far as I've gotten. Not fond of cilantro.

I used to eat almost all of your above. Grieving my previous stellar diet!

Monash app is so good that I was willing to pay for it. Lol. These sound exciting.

I was eating boring foods when I did it. I made my own sweet pepper dips.

How has it gone? I wonder though, you might have to give things time to heal because there could still be inflammation or irritations even if the bacteria is dead. I hope it goes well. X

I rarely ever post on Sunday yet here I am...

What you said about the inflammation and irritation seems to make sense to me. I've read that some patients start to feel much better after treatment. I guess I'm concerned that all the bacteria isn't completely killed off yet so I'd be happy to do another round. But...I'm almost afraid report this because I want to be cautious. Three days ago I was up until 5 am with symptoms. The past two days...nothing. I even worked in the front flower bed yesterday getting it cleaned up for fall and winter which is kind of amazing and made me feel like I wasn't a complete failure at life so that's good.

The recipes I think are going to be fine. I'm willing to try anything new. This time of year there are Pumpkin food and drinks everywhere you look, you know? I got all of the foods needed today but the Almond Breeze unsweetened milk won't get here until Tuesday. Hopefully I'll whip up something baked by then!

Otherwise, I'm eating the same foods and making the chicken soup tomorrow. Trying to stay away from sugar still because if there are any bacteria left, that's their version of a Happy Meal. ;)

I can understand why you are worried. You've spent so long suffering. I do think that they give you more antibiotics than the amount it takes to kill off a particular bacteria. But not too much more to prevent resistance.

Hope you tolerate the chicken soup well.
