Glad to hear you found a more professional person, Jersey Girl. We're thinking of you, sending good thoughts, and are looking forward to hearing more when you're ready. It was a set back, but it sounds like you're already on a better path, so hang in there!!

(at least plain sweet potatoes taste pretty good. Well, at least to me. I'm sure you're tired of them!! We love you! )
Very tired of them. But it's what works best. Thank you for taking up for me on this thread when I couldn't manage to do it for myself. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it.

I love all you guys, too! When I started this thread I knew at least one person would notice and try to help. It's humbling to me when I think about how some of you have continued to follow my journey of misery here!

Hey. Sending love your way. I am so sorry this happened, but also, a positive has come about because your new person has started the treatment without testing. I really hope that this is the answer to it all. Fingers crossed for massive improvement soon. Sibo certainly would explain the weight loss and difficult weight gain.
I'm 90% certain it's SIBO but I don't have a little research team hiding out in my belly. I can't believe that previous PA allowed me to suffer for 5 more months. I feel absolutely blessed that I was able to see the NP. She was SO good to me.

I have an update.

I have an update and I can't even believe it. Consider this whole post a praise!

I want to say first, I can't believe all the stuff I've posted on this thread but it turned into my own journal and I've referred to it for every appointment. Maybe if someone needs it they'll recall seeing something here that helps. I hope no one ever needs it.

So the past however long it's been--a month? I engaged in my own kind of therapy. I spent an obscene amount of money on Amazon and other websites without batting an eye. Everything I bought was on sale. It helped me to know something new or nice was coming to the house.

Here's the update....I slept a full 8 hours last night. When I woke up this morning I had NO symptoms at all. None. It's almost 8 p.m. here, I've eaten and still no symptoms. I'm almost afraid to say what I think so I won't. I feel sleepy as if all the tension has left my body. At peace and calm.

So...I went into town this afternoon and BOUGHT A WHOLE NEW SOFA.

I've been wanting it for about 4 years now ever since I saw it online. I went to the showroom about 3 months ago and saw it in person to confirm the upholstery color I wanted. Nice neutral color and will go with my old end tables which are Early American (which I love, love, love) and even though I refurnished previously, I kept them in storage in the garage. I cheat refinished them during the pandemic to sort of bring them back to life.

So La Z Boy had one sofa in stock with the exact upholstery. Just one. And it's coming to our house next Wednesday!

And...when I got home my new boots were waiting for me, too. That's how nuts I've been with online shopping.

Besides this whole update...my one good thing: I had read that La Z Boy removed your old furniture. The sales person, Charlie, told me that they don't do that but she gave me handouts for donation places. One of the places is a local ministry that picked up our old tables after I refinished my EM tables during the pandemic. The man was so respectful and appreciative to have our tables. I'm going to call him to have him come get my sofa and loveseat. When everything falls in line like that, including the lack of symptoms, I always think the Lord had a hand in it somehow.

I had SO much fun at the showroom with Charlie. I told her upon greeting that I knew exactly what I wanted and I told her I was going to be her easiest customer today. She even gave me a military discount. I bought in one of my favorite pillow covers and placed it on the new sofa and it's perfect so all the covers I have will work, too.

Last night I was exhausted and in pain. LOOK at what happened today!

Thank you, Marcus! I have had a few mild symptoms following Monday but nothing like I had before. I'm 100% convinced that it's SIBO I've been dealing with all this time and 100% convinced that the antibiotics are working. I don't know if it's been SIBO since the very beginning but will ask the Gastro NP about it at my follow up later this month. All I know is that I feel SO much better and at peace now. I can't even tell you how relieved I feel!

I bought a present for the new sofa that's coming. Two pillow covers to cover the pillows that come with it. I think the sofa deserved a "welcome home" gift!

I actually made more purchases this week but let's just not talk about it, okay?

Lil update: Still 88 pounds. Not caring about that right now. Some days still get slight symptoms but nothing alarming. Crawly pins and needles feeling but much weaker than I ever had in the past year. Took the last kill pill today! I'd be happy to do one more round. Appt is on the 29th so we'll see what things are like at that time.

The new sofa....came yesterday, a day early! :) Absolutely love it! I don't go around buying new furniture every day. It's so nice to have something new and there's so much more space in the room now!

The old set...the ministry couldn't find someone to take it. Posted it on our local groups on Facebook for free and a really nice couple with a large family (and pets!) from just over a few blocks picked it up Monday, the day before the new one came. I love that their youngest is 4 years old. I told them to tell him that Miss Jersey said it's a real good bouncy couch! :) It'll be perfect for them! So happy how that worked out!

The pricey pillow covers I got for the big pillows that came with it are too small. So...keeping those for the smaller inserts I already have and ordered some less expensive ones on AMZ. It'll be really nice I think! Next up...interviewing painters for that room--ceilings to high for us to deal with now. Kind of dread interviewing but it's been my plan all along and so was the sofa. I slowly saved up a pile of $ during the pandemic so this plan has been in the works for about 3 years now. Planned and saved, now I'm ready! 8-)
