Penny stocks were a huge beneficiary of the change from fractions to decimals at the US exchanges.
The SPACs used for these reverse IPOs are hilarious. The people that go along with it, even more hilarious.

Still more hilarious - or disastrous - might be confusing one person’s abbreviation of a company name for a different company’s ticker symbol.
High Spy’s abbreviation ‘OTEC’ is Ocean Thermal Energy Corp, with the ticker CPWR.
However, the ticker ‘OTEC’ is the SPAC ‘OceanTech Acquisitions I Corp’.
