When I was a kid, whenever I went to hug my mum goodnight my dad would be like, "are your trying to crawl back up the hole you came from?" Why would you even think that? A lotta people like huggings.
Was intended literally. It's good that people like hugs. I just felt like a weirdo being the only person that gets overwhelmed. So felt a bit like I was abnormal. :(

Our younger daughter doesn’t like to be hugged. Sometimes she lets us, sometimes not.
