TikTok Refugees

My daughter was having a TikTok withdrawal crisis and we watched the Chinese version Red Note. It has mainly the same stuff but without the stupidity.
BY the way, after the Republican Congress outlawed TikTok, Trump is posing himself as the savior of TikTok once he is inaugurated and begins his reign of terror.

Why would any responsible parent allow their children to use TikTok?

I've tried to steer her to the less toxic YouTube Shorts. Even though she is my child, she is a grown adult and has the right to make foolish viewing choices. I take some comfort in knowing her siblings have escaped the addiction to TikTok.
