My boyfriend was threatened with "action" unless he took his website down, which he did for his family's sake. I've told that story several times, so maybe that is what you're thinking of, Shade.

RCPman was threatened with excommunication only after he began criticizing the church in CA for agitating action against the a proposition in CA that had to do with gay marriage, If I recall correctly. I can't remember if he then resigned or they did ex him.
