"President Wilford Woodruff died on September 2, 1898. When previous Presidents had died, it took a period of between two to three and a half years to reorganize the new Presidency. The Lord revealed that this was not to be and eleven days later, Lorenzo Snow became the fifth President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints."
Abr. 3: 4 wrote: And the Lord said unto me, by the Urim and Thummim, that Kolob was after the manner of the Lord, according to its times and seasons in the revolutions thereof; that one revolution was a day unto the Lord, after his manner of reckoning, it being one thousand years according to the time appointed unto that whereon thou standest. This is the reckoning of the Lord’s time, according to the reckoning of Kolob.
You know, the Lord revealed that this was not to be after 1h 15min, according to the reckoning of the Lord’s time.

I might not follow you anywhere, but you show a lot of insight and originality!
Thanks, I was hoping that was what you meant, so I decided to conclude so...but didn't want to automatically assume something for my own bias or pride without clarifying. :) On boards like this, you just never know! LOL Some people really like to mock and be sarcastic, and since I don't know you well enough I thought I'd ask. :) Anyway, thanks.

I don't know much about John Taylor's succession time table period, but I think Brigham's had to do with trying to figure out whether they were even supposed to reorganize the presidency, etc. I do know that the main reason Woodruff's reorganization of the presidency took so long is because the apostles were mad at being left out of everything in the previous presidency. Sure, the Presidents and counselors were in hiding most of the time, but they were all really pissed that they were basically ignored. Finally, after a couple/few years they gave in to Woodruff's repeated requests and allowed him to organize a new presidency, and almost immediately stabbed them in the back. They'd kept denying his requests to publish a manifesto banning polygamy. He kept begging for their approval, and they continually rejected him. Finally, he sent them all out of town, and now that he was "PROPHET", he simply published the manifesto in the newspaper without their permission. Many of them first heard about the manifesto by reading the newspaper on their way back home. They weren't very happy about this backstabbing incident...but now that they'd made him "Prophet", what could they do about it? Nothing. Their concerns/reservations on not allowing him to create a new First Presidency for so long were thus shown to be entirely justified...but by then it was too late.
Anyway, I always have to chuckle when I remember how Woodruff kept getting rejected by all the apostles regarding a polygamy ban, so he used deceit (a deceptive method at least) in order to get his way. He knew if they made him Prophet and he simply announced it, that nobody could fight it. The Early years of the church had major conflicts between the two quorums. I think that's why it took so long for them to reorganize a presidency like you mentioned. In later years I would guess that tensions between the quorums settled down and that's why now it is reorganized relatively quickly.

It suddenly occurred to me that in their genetic testing, Sorenson Research may well have identified as Mormon Royalty genetic marker, such as may have been found with the Hapsburg, the Hohenzollern and the Hanover/Windors. Anybody have any thoughts about this? Would it be based on the Kimball-Pratt line?

I like that.
Also, that we have yet another revelation of which there is no proper record. Not even an improper one, I guess. Just an anecdotal say-so by someone who may or may not have been on hand to witness the revelation.
What revelation!?, I ask, What revelation!? Could it be that the Doctrine and Covenants, too, is missing 116 pages?
