"The Need for Young Men to Serve Missions"

Might it be, because Young (Mormon) Men have little world-experience; are naïve'; because of conditioning they are faith-based rather than knowledge based, they know / see only one side of the Mormon coin??

Most are not post-secondary educated, so they lack University degrees that develop critical thinking. . .

"The Need For Young Men..."??? Because mature men/women are prone to being more rational. Often, the Missionary matures while on their Mission which places them in the conundrum of fact-facing vs faith-facing. Very often leaving battle-scars that are slow to, or never, heal.

There is little doubt that the Mission experience opportunes good-stuff. Stuff that could be experience in Human-service as well as in Church-service. . . That being said, it is a great program for LDSism. Thousands of unpaid sales persons putting heart and soul into two years of propagandizing a belief system based on ancient and modern fantasia, that abides enough principles to sustain its motion. . .

As I see it. Roger M.
