The Book of Mormon does, but the LDS Church doesn't.
hugh? that's an odd statement. I'm more and more confused by Mormons every day. They seem to be ready to throw their book and prophets under the bus when they embarrass them. But then teach everyone that the prophets won't lead you astray, and the book is the most, what is it, perfect book ever written. Something like that.
It is not my intent to attack anyone nor am i suggesting that it is true ..I am asking you ..
By Satanic i don't mean worshipers of satan ..i mean Satanic in origin .
Yes. It's Joseph Smith-H 1:19 that really slams it home for standard Protestants and even Catholics as far as the Book of Mormon church of the Devil is concerned. As you stated, it's not that they worship or follow Satan directly. It's that their teachings, requirements, and heavenly authority (being nonexistent) are not sufficient or correct for eternal life, therefore they accomplish Satan's work by holding people back from those truths.
One could certainly argue that they bring people to a knowledge of some truths, but that does not absolve their overall effect on exaltation.
Some will argue that the church of the Devil is merely the body of erroneous beliefs. This is incorrect. Such a body of beliefs must have a structure in order to be delivered in the fashion they are, just like the true Church has a similar structure (Ephesians 4:11-14). The church of the Devil has it's own false prophets and teachers.
The relationship between the sectarian priest and the devil in the endowment enactment comes to mind. The enactment shows that the mentor of the sectarian priest is none other than the devil himself--they are good friends, and the devil is the direct source of the confusion false doctrine.
It’s relatively easy to agree that only Homo sapiens can speak about things that don’t really exist, and believe six impossible things before breakfast. You could never convince a monkey to give you a banana by promising him limitless bananas after death in monkey heaven.
