We LDS members believe in baptizing the dead from all faith traditions by proxy, but in doing so are we saying that mainstream Christian church members are not already Christian?
Or, do we already recognize their Christian status but are just adding extra membership benefits, should they decide to take us up on this time limited offer and enroll in our multi-level program of exaltation?
Is LDS Proxy Baptism denying existing Christian Status?

Here's my take. They are believed to be Christian based on the LDS definition of the word....but they are not believed to have a valid baptism without an LDS baptism.
And, yes, it's all for the possibility of exaltation....since LDS version of "salvation" is available to all.
Thanks Jesus!
