I agree with your self delusional argument. I was attributing to an external supernatural being, promptings to guide my decisions that I now attribute to either some human ability to "intuit" things, or internal sources.

But if so, I am by your estimation in good company; the very pivotal Joseph Smith himself, who by his own admission could not differentiate between: internal, heavenly, and devilish inspiritive sources.

Some of us, on the other hand, actually prefer a religion that includes some type of correlation with reality.
