No. Not all stories teach good morals nor are all actions in stories to be emulated in real life. Sometimes evil deeds are performed in the course of any events. Look on these evil deeds as something not to do. Had Nephi committed those crimes in Texas, Governor Perry would be itching to throw the electrical switch.

When looking at the Book of Mormon or any other sacred text it is best to look for both positive morals and symbolic truths.
