Let's start out with basics. Why were some men permitted to practice polygamy and not others? Why did some polygamists feel they were entitled to take other men's wives? Why do women not have the same right to multiple husbands?
The reason is that these polygamist men felt entitled due to some superior attribute or annointing.

This is indeed the most disturbing part of polygamy. I wonder if polygamy is a little like the priesthood ban where Brigham Young took liberties to do things that J Smith didn't do or would not have done.
My #1 question about polygamy is what was the nature of J. Smiths polyandrous marriages? Were they really polyandrous for time only as most apologists try to argue or were they polyandrous for time and eternity? I choose to believe the latter because it seems like the only fair way to treat people.
