The impurity codes in Leviticus/Numbers specify different remedies for various states of impurity. Some of those do involve staying away from the main Israelite camp for specific periods of time. It's easy to get these confused. If this is something that interests you, I would recommend a good study Bible, such as the Oxford Annotated Bible. The footnotes in a good study Bible can help the reader keep all of the regulations straight. A good commentary can also help put the various regulations into a larger context.

I found SOME justification for my understanding in Lev. 15:19.... (...she shall be put apart seven days...) Seems that could be interpreted that way??? By some commentators???
