Will the Speakers at the next conference publicly acknowledge to its membership that people are leaving in droves and that it has accelerated in the last five to ten years. Before going on to talk about how they are addressing the problem?
Did the leaders of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints know that members are "leaving in droves?" a woman asked.
"We are aware," said Jensen, according to a tape recording of his unscripted remarks. "And I'm speaking of the 15 men that are above me in the hierarchy of the church. They really do know and they really care," he said.
"My own daughter," he then added, "has come to me and said, 'Dad, why didn't you ever tell me that Joseph Smith was a polygamist?'"

Elder Jensen told the news outlet times have changed, and "attrition has accelerated in the last five or 10 years." Some church members ABC 4 talked to said they see the faithful leaving.

Or will the leadership portray that membership is increasing and that the Church is growing?

I think that the only way we might see some honesty in this regard is if it can be spun in a positive way, and/or used to whip members into shape. For example:
"We are losing members at an alarming rate. These truly are the last days, and Satan is working hard to pull members away. To stay safe from Satan's power, follow the prophet, pray harder, obey better, keep paying. Don't allow yourselves to be numbered with the casualties in this great war."

"he [Jensen] told Reuters that attrition has accelerated in the last five or 10 years, reflecting greater secularization of society. Many religions have been suffering similarly, he noted, arguing that Mormonism has never been more vibrant.
"I think we are at a time of challenge, but it isn't apocalyptic," he said."
Perhaps you should be more honest with your citations

I was trying to avoid the sideshow of how a GA can say the Church is suffering accelerated attrition whilst at the same time being vibrant. Still you opened the door, so you can answer the question...
