MK, "wickedness never was happiness," and the wise learn that through their earth experience. I might also add that ignorance and fighting against the truth of God never was happines also.

Notice that Mormons believe Satans first two lies, he gets Eve to Question Gods Word, and the he tells her she can be like God. Both lies Mormons follow hook line and sinker.
Genesis 3
1 Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? 2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
Mormons say they believe The Bible as far as it's translated correctly, God's real WORD and they don't put any warnings on there three s0-called scripture

Mercy = Not getting what you deserve

You went to college?
What I find interesting is that many New Testament scholars believe that wherever Jesus was born, it was not Bethlehem.
The two birth narratives from Matthew and Luke both situate Christ's birth at Bethlehem because it is important for them to do so as they believe it fulfills an Old Testament prophecy. In other words, they have a motive to locate his birth at Bethlehem.
The problem is that they use completely different methods of getting Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem for Jesus' birth. Matthew has them simply living there in their home town. Luke has them going there to fulfill some (likely) fictional census.
The upshot is that, wherever Jesus was born, it almost certainly was not in Bethlehem.

God believed Satan's lie, too.
He's very persuasive, that Satan.

Albion wrote:gdemetz, it might surprise you but I think this issue of Jesus's birthplace is a weak one to attack Joseph Smith. I think one would have to be a fool in Smith's time and place not to know that Jesus was born in Jerusalem...and whatever else he was Joseph Smith was not a fool. I think there are plenty of places in the Book of Mormon to challenge its authenticity and I don't think this is one of them. "The land of Jerusalem" is a clumsy expression in relation to Jesus's birth but in and of itself not earth shattering.
I agree with this.
What makes it more interesting is that Joseph never took advantage of his several subsequent editings of the text to make so obvious a change.
Even though he took the opportunity to swap out Mosiah for Benjamin. (Or vice versa. Heaven knows I can't keep them straight!)

That's the dichotomy of Mormonism it's a complete sham
Justice = Getting what you deserve
Mercy = Not getting what you deserve
Grace = Getting what you can never deserve
Mercy = Not getting what you deserve
Grace = Getting what you can never deserve
