Re: From Whence Came the Holy Ghost?
Isn't the use of the title Holy Ghost a bit of an anachronism at this time. Is there any other religious group which continues to use this title rather than the more modern Holy Spirit. I suppose in the scheme of things it is not a major issue but does underline the Mormon Church reliance on a Bible translation that is tied to a different age.

As I understand it, the Holy Ghost and the Holy Spirit are two different things in LDS theology.

This is intriguing. Does anyone know more about this difference?
I thought the usage of the term Holy Ghost was more or less confined to those who use the King James Version of the Bible, but that the terms Holy Ghost and Holy Spirit were synonymous.

They are used interchangeably in the scriptures, so I don't know why the LDS would make much of a distinction. The Holy Spirit, the Holy Ghost, Jehovah, El, Elohim, etc is usually a reference to God. And since God is one, the appearance of one or another spokesman is a rather meaningless exercise. I'm sure Christians have some fun with it when they try to prove to Mormons that God isn't three distinct people, but Mormons don't believe that anyway.
