I would argue that your patronizing personal attack came first.

There is already evidence for Mormonism. Hell, the Book of Mormon itself is evidence. What the TBM's are waiting for is not evidence, but proof.
Also, there are PLENTY of disciplines that have weak theories on how something might work, and they are searching for the evidence to support it. Dark matter is a good example of this. Other than they know that there isn't enough matter to account for the gravity in the galaxy, they have nothing to suggest that dark matter exists. Yet, they are still looking for it.

A book entitled "The Lion Witch and the wardrobe" is not evidence for Narnia.

If CS Lewis were to claim that Narnia were a real place, and that he had somehow received revelation that allowed him to write the book, and had a following the believed him, then the books would be evidence for a place called Narnia. Weak evidence, yes, but evidence nonetheless.

I don't believe God is a polygamous space god. Even if he was it's not all that rediculous. I mean you get polygamous humans than can be a bit spaced out at times. And it is highly probable that there are beings in outer space. So is it really that rediculous? Also, why can't god be among us. Afterall we are to inherit THIS kingdom. And to be with God. Thus I say God is among us.

I can tell you've never been there.
