  • Adam and Eve: The literal parents of all humanity or not?
  • The Fall: When did it happen (looking for a date give or take a few hundred years)?
  • Carnivores: Ate grass and herbs until the fall? Until after their release from the ark? Or some other time? (This one is for Hoops who isn't technically a Mormon apologist.)

A little advice from Robert Millet:

And voila:

Benjamin McGuire wrote:Death: Did the atonement of Jesus Christ remove the eternal effects of death allowing all mankind to be resurrected?
Jesus: Was Jesus the Messiah prophesied about in the Old Testament?
Pre-existence: Did the spirits of mankind exist prior to conception and birth into a physical body?
Free-will: Are we able to make choices that affect our eternal progression, and our destination after mortality?
Creation: Did mankind participate in the creation process - and act which continues into mortality?

1 - I know!
2 - At BYU, he was giving a talk to prospective missionaries.
3 - He didn't authorize it, nor did BYU. There have been several copyright/takedown orders to get rid of it. As I understand it, a student was filming it without authorization.

I wonder if Robert Millet ever ponders the fact that he has to deflect the truth in order to defend his church? Then thinks it's clever to teach that to others.

It reminds me a little of the ad where a sales manager says "lets put some lipstick on this pig".

I would have thought that an honest, devout member would be proud to answer a man/ god question. If a person can't answer truthfully, maybe he should consider another religion.
This, or any other post that I have made or will make in the future, is strictly my own opinion and consequently of little or no value.

1st Nephi 5
11 And he beheld that they did contain the five books of Moses, which gave an account of the creation of the world, and also of Adam and Eve, who were our first parents;

2nd Nephi 2
19 And after Adam and Eve had partaken of the forbidden fruit they were driven out of the garden of Eden, to till the earth.
20 And they have brought forth children; yea, even the family of all the earth.

It is hard to twist these scriptures to mean anything other than the whole of humanity stemming from Adam and Eve in 4,000 bc (and therefore Noah and his family in 2,300 bc).

No twisting necessary when one considers 2 Nephi 2:22, the Book of Abraham creation account, and numerous other doctrinal statements.

He right about the most important issue and the question they should have asked. However, I get far more desire to learn more from others and teaching done when I answer the original question straight up.

One thing I admire about you, bc, is that you are never afraid to answer straight up.
