B. “Though reasonable efforts will be made globally to use donations as designated, all donations become the church's property and will be used at the church's sole discretion to further the church's overall mission" is printed on the tithing slip. Indicating that the church currently does not guarantee that your donation is used as you direct on the tithing slip.

No need to use a tithing slip either. Just use your check and write the CONDITIONAL DONATIONS on the check and where the donations will go to (except tithing). In the back, write "SUBJECT TO REFUND UPON REQUEST". This allows you to request for a refund if the specific performance above is not met.

JC,
Is that legally binding? If so I doubt the church would accept it in the first place, if it is refundable upon request. And again how would you know if the performance was met? You have know way of knowing where your contribution ends up.

Yes it's legally binding. Once the Church deposits your CONDITIONAL DONATION, they now have control over it and they are bound by the stipulatons you make on the back of check that say "SUBJECT TO REFUND UPON REQUEST." Assuming they are aware to the terms and conditions I discussed on this thread. (viewtopic.php?f=3&t=25464). Performance is met upon deposit of the check into their bank account because the likelihood of it not happening is nil.

The OP as usual suffers from the same lies and falacy's anti-mormons still continue to promote....

"Church Funds" WERE NOT USED to build the Mall or otherwise.
Church owned "businesses/funds" were used to build the mall. "Businesses" make investments all the time.
"Tithing" as well as other "Church" religious focused donations ARE NOT USED in the for-profit side of the Church, they are used for the spiritual side.

Will you people start telling the truth for a change and stop attacking the Church based on your straw-men, fallacy's and falsehoods???

The funds of Church owned businesses are Church funds.
Tithing is invested into profit generating schemes, the profit is used for things like the Mall. Ask any investment Manager working on behalf or fr the Church.

Fact.

ldsfaqs - CFR. can you provide a reference that states that "Church Funds" WERE NOT USED to build the Mall or otherwise."? Preferably an audited financial report of the Church that un-ambigiously and clearly shows that tithing funds were NOT used to build the MALL in SLC? Official statements that only declares that tithing supposedly wasn't used for the Mall is not enough.

A LOT of people work FOR "The Church" and know well how the funds are used.

It's not a "Mormon" problem that bigotry and suspicion rules your lives that you've never known anyone in the Church which knows this stuff and relay's it.

I first learned things like this and otherwise when I was very young, when Spencer W. Kimball's brother was my Home Teacher. Further, in the 30 or so other moves and Wards I've been in, not simply visited either, I've known and met leaders, financial clerks etc. at all levels of the Church.

Members of the Church that actually talk to people know what happens with the money....
It's not our problem people like you don't, and you don't care to believe us.

Sorry, but most of us don't live our lives believing and calling Church leadership "LIARS".
We have plenty of witnesses of how the money is used and operated..... You people have nothing but CONSPIRCY THEORY's as "evidence" against us.

A LOT of people work for the church < True... For FREE. and some get paid.
& some just take from it, in the form of stipends.

The Church does do a lot for charity no doubt about it, but that doesn't mean its true.

Most leaders are liars, because they claim revelation from God anyone who claims that is a liar, cause God is no respecter of persons so what he tells one he must also tell another.

I would first believe the rational of the conspiracy theory before putting faith in a man who makes supernatural claims.
