So you disagree with the Institute manual where it says the rib store is figurative not literal - as bcspace has pointed out. Good to know.
Modern prophets have taught that the creation of woman from the rib of the man is to be taken figuratively. (See Spencer W. Kimball, Ensign, Mar. 1976, p. 71.)

you poor feller...what is interesting is that you obviously did not read my response....where did i say anything about whether what God "stated" was literal or figurative?

God is the same today and forever, but what constitute doctrine changes on a whim. It is your job to echo what I teach but forget everything we have said about this in the past.
What I love is when principle declare eternal change.
Take D&C 119 for example:
1 Verily, thus saith the Lord, I require all their surplus property to be put into the hands of the bishop of my church in Zion,
2 For the building of mine house, and for the laying of the foundation of Zion and for the priesthood, and for the debts of the Presidency of my Church.
3 And this shall be the beginning of the tithing of my people.
4 And after that, those who have thus been tithed shall pay one-tenth of all their interest annually; and this shall be a standing law unto them forever, for my holy priesthood, saith the Lord.
5 Verily I say unto you, it shall come to pass that all those who gather unto the land of Zion shall be tithed of their surplus properties, and shall observe this law, or they shall not be found worthy to abide among you.
This eternal doctrine is not practiced in this revealed form today. For something given as an "eternal" law and "forever" it sure has changed.
It is better to be a warrior in a garden, than a gardener at war.
Some of us, on the other hand, actually prefer a religion that includes some type of correlation with reality. ~Bill Hamblin

Here is Gods statement to Mormons on how he created Eve:
21 And I, the Lord God, caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam; and he slept, and I took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh in the stead thereof; 22 And the rib which I, the Lord God, had taken from man, made I a woman, and brought her unto the man.

Your assumptions are showing again
With your previously cited quote, not even Spencer Kimball disputes this reference.
You seem to be the one taking the Moses ch.3 reference literally.

No problem, you can educate me again. Quote for me the bit where God states how He created Eve - you know the statement of Gods words that you said you believe.
