Now if you can show me where these covenants are explained prior to when the voice over man in the Temple tells you what they are during the ritual itself, then I will withdraw my comment!

True, true... Most ethical organisations allow people to read a very detailed contract to explain exactly what they are buying into.

All this should be explained during the missionary discussions.
( Which guess what? ...Once out spoken people like us started talking about brainwashing, hypnosis and high pressure sales techniques they suddenly changed to a more unstructured pattern!!!)

I believe... More proof God doesn't exist or revelation is non existent in the LDS church, ANOTHER thing God has waited to change until, man asks him or tells him there is a problem.

I don't normally agree with you but in this case you happen to be right. But I think the picture is more than what you said. I think it is man which places things into rituals that should not be there. And as you say if it does not work out to well it is man that modifies them to sound better. The Bible is filled with examples of this.

You are right it is actual experience that sets in concrete those lessons we are to learn. Sadly it takes experience with the darkness sometimes to come to these truths. In our free will we need to suffer the consequences of our actions. Only then we become a law unto our self but in the light.
