Sub,
Doesn't that logic describe the LDS justification for polygamy?
It is right for our group as god says it is.

It is better to be a warrior in a garden, than a gardener at war.

Themis considers the following to be "well-defined"
"They do base it on the individual, but also the group. Different individuals and groups including religious ones have different moral codes to some extent"
huh?![]()
You do seem confused by a lot of things. Well defined just means it is well defined by the group. That does not mean that there are not differences between different well defined moral codes of different groups, or that well defined means it is absolute. In fact this is where your problem is. You view morals as some absolute thing. It is not and we have shown that. I noticed you now are avoiding morals being metaphysical/supernatural.

Wouldn't it be nice for all you accusers if there was just one, even one tiny bit of evidence to support your claims, such as some DNA evidence, etc. You should read, "A Tale of Two Marriage Systems." It is a very good analysis of all the documented marriages of Joseph Smith!

Doesn't matter if there isn't because, by the explicit terms set out in D&C 132 (you should read it sometime) Joseph is a fallen Prophet either way. If he didn't produce children from his polygamous marriages he fails God and fails to deliver on that which he was commanded as part of the covenant he entered into in order that he might live a polygamous life.
You need also to keep in mind that God didn't come to Joseph asking him to live it.
Joseph went to God to gain permission to live something he desired to do.
We only have Joseph's word that God said 'Yeah sure, go ahead. But make sure you produce lots of kids'.

You are the one accusing Joseph of viewing marriages to one group of women differently then others. We have asked for evidence, and you have none. You have even agreed with one evidence that Joseph may have had a child with Sylvia. You also never could answer why she would only tell the one child who could be Joseph's biologic child. I think this shows that she meant what she said, and not what others want to interpret as. I gave another with BY and Zina. You don't seem to understand this one. Why does BY feel a need to be proxy for Joseph and have children with her, but somehow if the one he is being proxy for (Joseph), had not died, would not have done so. You ignore so much else that shows such bad behavior of both Joseph and BY. I feel sorry for Henry, although I think he should have stuck up for himself from the beginning.

When you study these things it makes me question why God would need to Joseph to marry so many and ones who already had husbands.

God didn't require it.
Joseph required it and pestered God till He got fed up and conceded.

Re: Stay Strong Saints
I received a message just today from a detractor from the church who commented on this very subject. He recommended that I view the site entitled, "Joseph Smith's polygamy." He even stated that he thought it was pretty fair! I looked at it, and I thought that it was pretty fair also. I recommend that you guys look at it too!!!
