Oh, I thought a flint was a strip of wood that you lit to light a bunsen burner.
Regarding Navoo temple, if you google it, you might find some interesting things.

The problem is you seem to want to have a discussion which, to us heathen apostates and unbelievers, is intellectually the exact same thing as seriously discussing the Lord of the Rings, as if it were true, and lamenting the steps that led to Saruman's downfall, as if Saruman really existed, and really did turn to the "dark side", and came under the influence of a bogeyman called Sauron, who really does live in a place called Mordor, that really does exist somewhere.
You can't really have the scripture study discussion you want to have because many of us here are convinced that the Book of Mormon is a work of fiction. You simply cannot get us to dicuss it starting from the basis that the events depicted in the book actually happened. They didn't.
Mormonism ceased being a compelling topic for me when I finally came to terms with its transformation from a personality cult into a combination of a real estate company, a SuperPac, and Westboro Baptist Church. - Kishkumen

Flint is a sedimentary rock. If you Google it you might find some interesting things.

With the wood reference, I wonder if Jonas was thinking of the word "flitch"?

I wasn't paying that much attention to JasonS's posts until you mentioned this, KA, but now that I look back, I believe you're correct.
Pirate, if it's you, why not post as yourself?

If I remember right, there is a historical connection to the ancient town of Bedrock.

Pirate, if it's you, why not post as yourself?... Uh, wait. Is "ephraimsdaughter" a sockpuppet for pirate, too?
Urgh... I am not a Sock puppet, I am Pirate, it's kinda like wearing a hat. I can't seam to discuss seriously or be taken seriously as Pirate, but as someone else I might. I think Shades is going t delete this account anyway. He told me to choose one.
I am not "ephraimsdaughter". Just this one.
What is it that makes you all know who I am.
Can we seriously discuss this thread?
I am 100% positive flint is a wood, I know there is flint rock too, as in a "flint and steel" used to start fires when camping. Tapers made from flint paper which are used to light a bunsen burner.

Scripture study
I think that the idea of discussing the scriptures in this form would be great, that is if everyone participated. There has not been a single post, since the first, to discuss the scriptures. I think that is sad. If you don’t like the discussion, make your statement, then go somewhere else.
