What you are saying is the word 'God' is just another word for 'Presidency' and the Christian Presidency has a President (Heavenly Father) and Two Assistants (Jesus, Holy Ghost).

Whereas in Mormonism the word 'God' refers to any of the people involved in the creation - Jesus, Michael (Adam), Heavenly Father; and also any human who progresses to the point where he can create his own planet.

Not according to Joseph Smith Translation of the Bible in John 1:1 where the WORD is the Gospel

Adam and Others helped in creation, it is true that Adam helped to form this earth. He labored with our Savior Jesus Christ. I have a strong view or conviction that there were others also who assisted them. Perhaps Noah and Enoch; and why not Joseph Smith. Doctrines of Salvation Vol. 1 p 74-75

The Bible says God did the creation alone ?

Isa. 44:8

Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer,
And He who formed you from the womb:
“I am the LORD, who makes all things,
Who stretches out the heavens all alone,
Who spreads abroad the earth by Myself;
Justice = Getting what you deserve
Mercy = Not getting what you deserve
Grace = Getting what you can never deserve

So you're tying to use the Bible to prove your point to people who may not necessarily believe in the Bible? I think your strategy has some serious problems...
Surprise, surprise, there is no divine mandate for the Church to discuss and portray its history accurately.

So what exactly would you use to prove such a point? What would you suggest which has more credibility?

I can't help you. If the Bible is all you have to work with, you've got a rough road ahead of you.

Well...as this is a specific 'Mormon' discussion board perhaps being familiar with the contents of 'Mormon' scripture may be useful to you...

For instance, the Book of Abraham makes it clear that Jesus and Michael (who became Adam) both merit the moniker 'God' and were the two people instrumental in actually doing the creative work under Heavenly Father's (the chap you think of as God) distant and somewhat unattentive supervision.

Thanks, that should be very interesting. But I don't think it'll help Mittens or Little Nipper.
