The Bible has it's own problems, just not nearly as much as the Book of Mormon. Shades is asking ldsfaqs to articulate the Spaulding theory to see if he really understands it, which I also doubt. Many don't.

You're correct. I'm sorry to put you through that, LittleNipper, but although I'm very, very familiar with the Spalding/Rigdon theory--I'm personally acquainted with the two most knowledgeable people on that theory on the planet, for what it's worth--I strongly suspect that when ldsfaqs says "because the fact is, there is little to no fact what so ever demonstrating that the Spaulding Manuscript is related to the Book of Mormon," he's not reporting the results of his own research; he's merely parroting what his puppet-masters at FAIR have told him to think.
"Finally, for your rather strange idea that miracles are somehow linked to the amount of gay sexual gratification that is taking place would require that primitive Christianity was launched by gay sex, would it not?"

- Whenever a poet or preacher, chief or wizard spouts gibberish, the human race spends centuries deciphering the message. - Umberto Eco - To assert that the earth revolves around the sun is as erroneous as to claim that Jesus was not born of a virgin. - Cardinal Bellarmine at the trial of Galilei
OK, now I have a question. Not having ever read that manuscript, will someone kindly point out to me all the common points of that manuscript to the Book of Mormon. From what I have heard, they have very little in common. Also, Nipper, you seem to think that God has changed His MO, and that they was no real restitution of ALL things as the Bible has clearly prophesied!

The wages of sin is death. But the gift of God is eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ the Lord. There are reprocussions for doing wrong things. People get sick, HIV, get cancer, injured, go to jail, and die ---- all because of sin. Christ covers the eternal penality of sin for the believer, but He doesn't give the believer a get out of Jail Free card in this life. Christ paid the eternal debt and teaches the believer His truths as he lives in this life... There will be rewards in heaven for thing believers do righteously; however, no one will be allowed in heaven because he thinks he is good. No one is good enough except Christ. And Christ is GOD. God created us and He saves those who believe in Him.

And what manuscript would you be referring to?
Solomon Spalding's work entitled “Manuscript Found”.
