How does the area in which the temple is built compare to the surrounding area? (comparing to US is comparing apples to star fruit)

Temple construction is temple construction, its not like the temple in Fiji is made of clay and hay. Poverty is not "relative" in this respect.

So... the Fiji temple is a benefit, probably a huge benefit, to the surrounding area. I'm assuming the church employed Fijians when the temple was built (a financial benefit), and employs Fijians now for things like groundskeeping (a financial benefit), pays for power and water (a financial benefit). And people coming to the temple stay in Fijian hotels and eat at Fijian owned restaurants (both financial benefits). More money in the Fijian economy means more tithes from the Fijian members.

How can the temple not be a financial benefit?
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.
