Well you aren't going to get much discussion going with anyone if you harass them off the board. Why not be honest from the start with them, instead of shifting the focus off the topic onto the person and playing games. In the Celestial personal attacks aren't supposed to be allowed. So if BrianH violated that in his opening post, inform him of it. The answer isn't to pile on personal attacks of him by a group, and then eventually the thread gets moved..so more attacks can be justified. As a reader I lose out, as I don't get to read a discussion on a topic in which some valid and/or interesting thoughts might be expressed, instead I get to read gameplaying...and the Celestial isn't supposed to be set up for that.
You may find BrianH started it...

I opened up this post/thread ..viewtopic.php?f=1&t=21795 ..in Celestial at a point in which he was being attacked by more than one person. I thought his opening post was balanced, a potentially interesting topic for discussion for some..albeit he insulted or goaded Mormons but not excessively in that post. I perceived the insult as a probable product of frustration he's had in discussing this issue perhaps on other boards. The thread, eventually was moved to Terrestial..and nothing about the topic he presented was discussed. I don't see harassing someone off the board as a beneficial tactic if one is interested in discussion. Having said that I don't follow the board very closely. Most of it I skim through if that, because the majority of threads and their issues don't interest me.

I've reread the beginning thread you linked, and frankly he was met with the level of respect he was showing for others. Later he started the "Are all Mormons cowards???" thread. He came out throwing punches, he doesn't get to complain if he ends up with a broken nose.
He didn't complain I have. And I'm complaining about posts in the Celestial being focused on personal attack, when that's not what is supposed to take place there. Whatever it's not important..carry on...harass away.
