Wether you write your own journals or not is irrelevant.
Joseph Smith did not write Joseph Smith History. Fact.

It's a fact, Joseph Smith used scribes and several historians. He wasn't lettered (a very versatile, legible writer) and it was a common practice back then. It is really meaningless since much of the content was authored or authorized by or about him and the events that transpired as recalled by the scribes, other witnesses, or historians themselves.

Joseph Smith and his clerks/secretaries compiled a manuscript history from which the present text arises. The manuscript on which the present chapter is based is in the hand of James Mulholland, penned beginning June 11 , 1839. [See, Dean Jessee, "The Writing of Joseph Smith's History," BYUS, 11, Spring 1971, 439-473.] It must be understood that while the history is written in the first person as though Joseph Smith wrote it himself, in fact Joseph wrote none of the present history.

(this is called providing substance, something you always fail to do when asked to support your gum bumping)

Now, go and research Dean Jesse or the Joseph Smith Papers.

I know that! It was his history and he dictated it as Tobin states! If my secretary writes a letter that I dictate, it is still considered my letter! How dumb! Can't you make at least one intelligent point here on this site?!?

I said
"Joseph Smith did not write Joseph Smith History. Fact."

To which you replied
"That is not a fact! Show me proof!"

To which I responded by showing you the proof.

You then shifted your position to
"

So you now agree with me that the Joseph Smith History is a second hand account.

Great, that's progress.

Some of us, on the other hand, actually prefer a religion that includes some type of correlation with reality.
