does not exclude it from being a walk of life - it must surely qualify, in some way, as a social class.

yes, i put the eskimo in just for fun - glad you noticed.
However, your question was responded to - and responded to well....and likewise your innuendo was neutered.

And yet, for a Church with a large percentage of its active membership being black, not a single black person addressed the conference and only three black people sang in the choir.

Nice.

you ever see a picture of US Senate?
House of Parliament?
Canadian House of Commons?

apart from your feeble attempt at invoking affirmative action - is there an actual point to your absurd ramblings?
is there some sort of argument, that you can actually justify, which coordinates your random stats about the racial profile of the church membership and general authority?

Nice try, but we are not talking about man made organisations.
We ARE talking about Gods one true Church.

The goal/point is...

If the LDS organisations are led by God and Jesus, and God and Jesus is/are perfect,
then the organisations too, would be perfect, and if they were, there'd be no inequality, as all human beings are equal, and God is no respecter of persons.

And there certainly wouldn't be a need for changes in the ordinances and or organisational structure, as it would be perfect and not just evolving to suit the ever changing world in which we live in.

Get the Point/Goal?

Of course, you are going to show how I moved the goal posts at some point...aren't you...?

Yes.
The Church led by God & Christ would certainly reflect the teachings of God & Christ. The Mormon Church is not that.

For instance, when faced with meting out judgement on an adulterous woman, Christ gave the famous line "let he who is without sin cast the first stone". As we know, there is/has been only one individual without sin and so no one is in a position, according to Christ, to 'throw stones' at a sinner.

Compare that teaching with the actions of the Mormon Church. When faced with a sinner, 15 men gather together and throw stones. Hmmm...

The Church does not stand up to the scrutiny of Christs teachings, especially when it comes to equality. For decades the Prophets told the members that God wanted black people banned from the Priesthood. Then one day, other Prophets said God no longer wanted black people banned from the Priesthood. Now Prophets are saying, through their PR spin doctors, that they don't really know what God wanted with regards to black people.

The Church will, as it always has done, catch up with society like a naughty four year old who's legs are tired...
