The Bible is written on a human dimension.
Yes, because humans were the ones who wrote it.

God is relating how He feels in terms humans might relate to.
No, he's not; because he's not the one who wrote it.

God wants us to understand and so He communicated on our level.
No, he doesn't; because he's not the one who wrote it.

If you meant to say that god inspired these guys to write what they did, that would be a totally different can of worms, but that's not what you're saying, here.

Man wrote the Illiad and the Odyssey --- though a classic, It pales in comparison to the Bible.
God applied many men to the writing of His Word and yet it all flows together, as by one author.
So you imagine.
Inspired, means that God selected specific men to perform a task according to His perfect will/design.

It all flows together? Everything from Genesis to Revelation? Seriously, you've got to be joking. The only person who would believe that is someone who's never actually read the Bible--like your average Christian.

Whether or not it flows together, it still all boils down to this...

Surprise, surprise, there is no divine mandate for the Church to discuss and portray its history accurately.

If you believe in the Bible as being the word of God why do you not believe in the Pearl of Great Price or Book of Mormon as being the word of God?

Because The Bible is about God's plan for the ages. And the Book of Revelations spells out the end times. There is no place for additional LAW (which Jesus took upon Himself) or epics of man. God doesn't contradict Himself or lie, and His Word is complete. To be adding to it is of man's design. And the murder of Uncle Laban over geneologic plates by Nephi (supposedly arranged by God) is just one nail in the coffin of a man designed, man centered, tale about man, and his value and purpose to God...

ACT 2:30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;

MAT 1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

So...according to the Bible how did Mary conceive?

ISA 14:21 Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities.

DEU 24:16 The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.

So...according to the Bible, should children suffer for the sins of their fathers?

NUM 12:3: "Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the fact of the earth."

NUM 31:14, 17, 18: "And Moses was wroth...And Moses said unto them, "Have ye saved all the women alive? ... Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman, ... But all the women children ... keep alive for yourselves."

So...according to the Bible was Moses an angry type of bloke or not?

ACT 1:18: "Now this man (Judas) purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out."

MAT 27:5-7: "And he (Judas) cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself. And the chief priests...bought with them the potter's field."

So...according to the Bible how did Judas die?

MAT 5:1,2: "And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him: And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying...."

LUK 6:17,20: "And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people...came to hear him.. And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples and said..."

So...according to the Bible where did Jesus give His famous sermon - on a mount or in a valley?

Can you tell us how God has communicated which Bible is His and at what point men were supposed to stop adding to it, editing it or rearranging it?

The Bible (from Koine Greek τὰ βιβλία ta biblia "the books") is any one of the collections of the primary religious texts of Judaism and Christianity. There is no common version of the Bible, as the contents and the order of the individual books (Biblical canon) vary among denominations. The 24 texts of the Hebrew Bible are divided into 39 books in Christian Old Testaments, and complete Christian Bibles range from the 66 books of the Protestant canon to the 81 books of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church Bible. The Hebrew and Christian Bibles are also important to other Abrahamic religions, including Islam[1] and the Bahá'í Faith,[2] but those religions do not regard them as central religious texts.

The Hebrew Bible, or Tanakh, is divided into three parts: (1) the five books of the Torah ("teaching" or "law"), comprising the origins of the Israelite nation, its laws and its covenant with the God of Israel; (2) the Nevi'im ("prophets"), containing the historic account of ancient Israel and Judah focusing on conflicts between the Israelites and other nations, and conflicts among Israelites – specifically, struggles between believers in "the LORD God" and believers in foreign gods, and the criticism of unethical and unjust behavior of Israelite elites and rulers; and (3) the Ketuvim ("writings"): poetic and philosophical works such as the Psalms and the Book of Job.

The Christian Bible is divided into two parts. The first is called the Old Testament, containing the (minimum) 39 books of Hebrew Scripture, and the second portion is called the New Testament, containing a set of 27 books. The first four books of the New Testament form the Canonical gospels which recount the life of Jesus and are central to the Christian faith. Christian Bibles include the books of the Hebrew Bible, but arranged in a different order: Jewish Scripture ends with the people of Israel restored to Jerusalem and the temple, whereas the Christian arrangement ends with the book of the prophet Malachi. The oldest surviving Christian Bibles are Greek manuscripts from the 4th century; the oldest complete Jewish Bible is a Greek translation, also dating to the 4th century. The oldest complete manuscripts of the Hebrew Bible (the Masoretic text) date from the Middle Ages.[3] The Bible was separated into chapters in the 13th century by Stephen Langton, who eventually became a Roman Catholic Archbishop, and into verses in the 16th century by Robert Estienne, a French printer.[4]
During the three centuries following the establishment of Christianity in the 1st century, Church Fathers compiled Gospel accounts and letters of apostles into a Christian Bible which became known as the New Testament. The Old and New Testaments together are commonly referred to as "The Holy Bible" (τὰ βιβλία τὰ ἅγια). Many Christians consider the text of the Bible to be divinely inspired, and cite passages in the Bible itself as support for this belief. The canonical composition of the Old Testament is under dispute between Christian groups: Protestants hold only the books of the Hebrew Bible to be canonical; Roman Catholics and Eastern Orthodox additionally consider the deuterocanonical books, a group of Jewish books, to be canonical. The New Testament is composed of the Gospels ("good news"), the Acts of the Apostles, the Epistles (letters), and the Book of Revelation.

Or were you just bearing an ubsubstantiated personal testimony about what you personally choose to believe?
(In which case Mormons have just as much claim on their unique scripture as you do on whichever version of the Bible you think is the correct one)

the evidence favors the assertion at this point. The probability that God selected specific men is higher than the probability otherwise. This, given the historical evidence and tradition, is the best explanation that can be put forward...and simply out, it makes sense.
Your ability to simply blurb out "no it does not" is surely the only assertion that is "easily dismissed".

You're gonna provide the 'evidence' in a separate post...right..?

There are 2 linages in the Bible. Both Mary & Joseph were direct descendants of King David. To prepare to do something and carry it out are entirely 2 different things. Children do suffer for the sins of their parents every day. It is only by the grace of God that such a line can be broken through God's intervention. Moses was a changed man and like many was worn thin by the shenanigans of the Israetites --- still waters run deep. Judas hanged himself but in so doing his stomach was ripped open---perhaps the rope snapped or the limb broke. Jesus preached the same thing over and over. A great sermon is always presented more than one time --- once to his disciples and then again for the general public.
