Psalm 57:1-11 A song of David. When hiding in a Cave from Saul
Be good to me, God right now! I run to you for dear life. I’m hiding under your wings until the storm passes.
I cry out to the God who is conforming me.
He sends orders from heaven and saves me, he humiliates those who kick me around. (Imagine that) God sends goodness, and facts.
I'm among a pride of lions, roasting my flesh; Their teeth are lances and arrows, their tongues piercingly hurtful.
Fly above it all, God! Over the whole earth with your honor!
They have set traps along my path; I thought I was dead and done for.
They dug a trap to catch me, and fell in themselves. (Imagine that)
I’m ready, God, so ready from top to bottom. Ready to sing and raise a tune:
“Wake up, soul! Play harp and lute! Arise sun!”
I’m pondering about you, God, out loud in the streets, singing your praises everywhere.
Soar above the skies, God! Surround the earth with Your honor!

1 To the Overseer. -- `Destroy not.' -- A secret treasure of David, in his fleeing from the face of Saul into a cave. Favour me, O God, favour me, For in Thee is my soul trusting, And in the shadow of Thy wings I trust, Until the calamities pass over.
2 I call to God Most High, To God [who] is perfecting for me.
3 He sendeth from the heaven, and saveth me, He reproached -- who is panting after me. Selah. God sendeth forth His kindness and His truth.
4 My soul [is] in the midst of lions, I lie down [among] flames -- sons of men, Their teeth [are] a spear and arrows, And their tongue a sharp sword.

No, you do not! Your spirit plots injustice. You deal out the violence of your own making on earth.

God of Armies and Israel, get moving and punish all the nations. Have no pity on any traitors. (Think on that)
Such return in the evening, howling like dogs and prowling the streets.
See what exits their mouths—cutting words! They imagine, “Who hears us anyway?”
Lord, you chuckle at them --- laughing at all the nations.
All mighty God, I watch for you! God is my castle and merciful God!
God will arrive to meet me. He will let me gloat over those spying on me.
Do not kill them. Otherwise, my people may forget. Make them aimless through your power. Take them out, my Lord and shield, because of their sinful mouths and such fowl language. Trap them by their own arrogance because they speak curses and lies.
Destroy them in anger ---- until not one of them is around. Then they will realize that God rules Jacob everywhere. (Imagine that)

They search to find something to devour. If they are not filled, they remain all night.
I will sing about your might. In the morning I will joyously sing of your mercy. You have been my safe and sanctuary in troubled moments.

I didn't even know about Young's Literal Translation until I first read this thread of his.
Let me quote Psalm 54 from the New King James Version and from the New American Standard Bible here.

Young's Translation is closer to the Hebrew than the better-known versions in English------particularly with regards to the Old Testament. And it also is rather overlooked and obscure-----as you have pointed out. It seems not so diligent in promoting a particular doctrinal slant. I will stick with it until we reach the New Testament.

I'm relying on secular opinion. The original text of the Old Testament was primarily written in Hebrew. Are you fluent in Hebrew. Greek, or Aramaic? Do you really care or are you seeking an excuse to remain an agnostic? Seems to me that there is enough indication that no matter the translation --- all honest texts read about the same. There is a God. He created everything. We sin. We need salvation. Salvation comes from God. We need to accept God's salvation or suffer alone for our transgressions. End of story.
