Re: Bible verse by verse
Daniel 8:1-27
During the 3rd year of King Belshazzar’s reign, a vision came to me, Daniel, after the earlier vision I had.
When I saw this vision, and experienced it I was in the fortified city of Susa in the province of Elam, by the Ulai canal.
When I looked up, I suddenly saw a ram with two horns standing before the canal. Both horns were tall, but one was taller than the other.
The taller one came up after the other one.
I saw the ram goring westward, northward, and southward. No animal could resist the ram, and no one could stop it, rescuing others from its power. The ram did whatever it pleased. It became mighty.
I was trying to comprehend this when suddenly a he-goat arrived from the west, crossing the entire earth but not touching the ground. Between this goat’s eyes was a horn that was most conspicuous.
The he-goat came to the ram that had two horns, the one I’d seen standing before the canal. The he-goat charged the ram terribly angry.
I saw the he-goat approach the ram. It was enraged at the ram and attacked it, shattering the ram’s two horns. The ram couldn’t resist the he-goat. The he-goat tossed the ram upon the ground and trampled it. No one could rescue the ram from the he-goat’s power.
The he-goat became even greater, but at the height of its power, its large horn snapped. In its place, four horns, each wonderous, came up toward the four winds of heaven.
A single, tiny horn grew from one of the four horns. It grew bigger and bigger, stretching toward the south, the east, and the beautiful country.
It grew as high as the heavenly forces, until it finally tossed some of them and some of the stars down to the earth. Then it trampled on them.
It grew as high as the very leader of those forces, taking the daily sacrifice away from him and overturning his holy place.
In an act of rebellion, another force will assume control of the daily sacrifice. It will throw truth to the ground and will succeed in everything it does.
I then heard a specific holy one speaking. A second holy one asked the first one: “How long will this vision last—the one concerning the daily sacrifice, the desolating rebellion, and the handing over of the sanctuary and its forces to be trampled?”
He said to me, “For 2300 evenings and mornings. Then the sanctuary will be restored.”
Now I, Daniel, needed help pondering the vision I saw. Suddenly standing in front of me was someone who appeared like a man.
I then heard a human voice coming out of the center of the Ulai canal. It called out: “Gabriel, help this person understand what he has observed.”
Gabriel approached me, and I was terrified when he came. I fell with my face to the ground. Gabriel said to me, “Know this, human: the vision is for the end time.”
As soon as he said this to me, I became entranced. My face was still on the ground. Then Gabriel touched me and placed me up on my feet.
He said, “Now, I am going to explain what will happen during the time of doom that is coming, because at an appointed time there will come an end.
The two-horned ram you saw represents the kings of Media and Persia.
The long-haired he-goat is the king of Greece, and the big horn between its eyes is the first king.
The horn that snapped so that four grew in its place means that four kingdoms will originate from one nation, but these four won’t have the abilities of the first one.
When their kingship nears its end and their sins are almost complete, a king will step forward. He will be stern and a master of deception.
At the height of his power,he will wreak unbelievable destructions. He will succeed in all he does. He will destroy both the mighty and the people of the holy ones.
Along with his scheming, he will succeed through applying deceit. In his own mind, he will be great. In a time of peace, he will bring destruction on many, opposing even the supreme leader. But he will be broken—but not by a human hand.
Now this vision of evening and morning, which has been declared, is factual. But you must seal it up, because it is for a time far in the distant future.”
Then I, Daniel, was overwhelmed and felt sick for days. When I finally got up and went about the king’s business, I remained upset by the vision and couldn’t comprehend.
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
1 `In the third year of the reign of Belshazzar the king, a vision hath appeared unto me -- I Daniel -- after that which had appeared unto me at the beginning.
2 And I see in a vision, and it cometh to pass, in my seeing, and I [am] in Shushan the palace that [is] in Elam the province, and I see in a vision, and I have been by the stream Ulai.
3 And I lift up mine eyes, and look, and lo, a certain ram is standing before the stream, and it hath two horns, and the two horns [are] high; and the one [is] higher than the other, and the high one is coming up last.
4 I have seen the ram pushing westward, and northward, and southward, and no living creatures do stand before it, and there is none delivering out of its hand, and it hath done according to its pleasure, and hath exerted itself.
5 `And I have been considering, and lo, a young he-goat hath come from the west, over the face of the whole earth, whom none is touching in the earth; as to the young he-goat, a conspicuous horn [is] between its eyes.
6 And it cometh unto the ram possessing the two horns, that I had seen standing before the stream, and runneth unto it in the fury of its power.
7 And I have seen it coming near the ram, and it becometh embittered at it, and smiteth the ram, and breaketh its two horns, and there hath been no power in the ram to stand before it, and it casteth it to the earth, and trampleth it down, and there hath been no deliverer to the ram out of its power.
8 `And the young he-goat hath exerted itself very much, and when it is strong, broken hath been the great horn; and come up doth a vision of four in its place, at the four winds of the heavens.
9 And from the one of them come forth hath a little horn, and it exerteth itself greatly toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the beauteous [land];
10 yea, it exerteth unto the host of the heavens, and causeth to fall to the earth of the host, and of the stars, and trampleth them down.
11 And unto the prince of the host it exerteth itself, and by it taken away hath been the continual [sacrifice], and thrown down the base of his sanctuary.
12 And the host is given up, with the continual [sacrifice], through transgression, and it throweth down truth to the earth, and it hath worked, and prospered.
13 `And I hear a certain holy one speaking, and a certain holy one saith to the wonderful numberer who is speaking: Till when [is] the vision of the continual [sacrifice], and of the transgression, an astonishment, to make both sanctuary and host a treading down?
14 And he saith unto me, Till evening -- morning two thousand and three hundred, then is the holy place declared right.
15 `And it cometh to pass in my seeing -- I, Daniel -- the vision, that I require understanding, and lo, standing over-against me [is] as the appearance of a mighty one.
16 And I hear a voice of man between [the banks of] Ulai, and he calleth and saith: Gabriel, cause this [one] to understand the appearance.
17 And he cometh in near my station, and at his coming in I have been afraid, and I fall on my face, and he saith unto me: Understand, son of man, for at the time of the end [is] the vision.
18 And in his speaking with me, I have been in a trance on my face, on the earth; and he cometh against me, and causeth me to stand on my station,
19 and saith: Lo, I -- I am causing thee to know that which is in the latter end of the indignation; for, at the appointed time [is] the end.
20 `The ram that thou hast seen possessing two horns, [are] the kings of Media and Persia.
21 And the young he-goat, the hairy one, [is] the king of Javan; and the great horn that [is] between its eyes is the first king;
22 and that being broken, stand up do four in its place, four kingdoms from the nation do stand up, and not in its power.
23 `And in the latter end of their kingdom, about the perfecting of the transgressors, stand up doth a king, fierce of face, and understanding hidden things;
24 and his power hath been mighty, and not by his own power; and wonderful things he destroyeth, and he hath prospered, and wrought, and destroyed mighty ones, and the people of the Holy Ones.
25 `And by his understanding he hath also caused deceit to prosper in his hand, and in his heart he exerteth himself, and by ease he destroyeth many; and against the prince of princes he standeth -- and without hand he is broken.
26 And the appearance of the evening and of the morning, that is told, is true; and thou, hide thou the vision, for [it is] after many days.'
27 And I, Daniel, have been, yea, I became sick [for] days, and I rise, and do the king's work, and am astonished at the appearance, and there is none understanding.

Re: Bible verse by verse
Daniel 9:1-27
In the 1st year of Ahasuerus’ son Darius’ rule, who was, a Median by birth and who ruled the Chaldean kingdom—
I, Daniel, pondered the scrolls, specifically the number of years that it would take to complete Jerusalem’s desolation according to the Lord’s word to the prophet Jeremiah. It was 70 years.
I turned my face to my Lord God, asking for an answer with prayer and pleading, and with fasting, mourning clothes, and ashes.
As I prayed to the Lord my God, I confessed:
Please, my Lord—you are the great and awesome God, the one who keeps the covenant, and truly faithful to all who love him and keep his commands.
We have sinned and done wrong, bringing guilt on ourselves and rebelling, ignoring your commands and laws.
We didn't listened to Your servants, the prophets, who spoke in Your name to our kings, leaders, parents, and to all the citizens.
Righteousness belongs to You, my Lord! But we are ashamed today. We being the people of Judah --- inhabitants of Jerusalem, all Israel whether near or far, in whatever country where You’ve driven them because of their unfaithfulness when they broke faith with You.
Lord, we're ashamed, our kings, leaders, and parents sinned against You.
Compassion and deep forgiveness belong to My Lord, Our God, because we rebelled against Him.
We didn’t listen to the voice of the Lord Our God by following the teachings He provided through His servants, the prophets.
All Israel broke Your Instruction and turned away, ignoring Your voice. Then the curse that was sworn long ago—the one written in the Instruction from Moses, God’s servant—swept over us because we sinned against God.
God confirmed the words he spoke against us and our rulers, bringing great trouble upon us. What happened in Jerusalem hasn’t occurred anywhere else in the entire world!
All this trouble came upon us, exactly as it was written in the Instruction of Moses. However, we didn’t try to reconcile with the Lord our God by turning from our wrongdoing or by finding wisdom in Your faithfulness.
So the Lord directed the great trouble and brought it on us, because the Lord our God has been right in every move he’s made, but we haven’t listened to his voice.
But now, my Lord, our God, who brought Your people out of Egypt with a strong hand, making a name for Yourself even to this time: We have sinned and done the wrong thing.
My Lord, please! Consistent with your many righteous acts, please turn Your raging anger from Jerusalem your city -- your own holy mountain. Because of our sins and the wrongdoing of our parents, both Jerusalem and Your people have become a disgrace to all our neighbors.
But now, our God, listen to Your servant’s prayer and pleas for help. Shine your face on your ruined sanctuary, for your own sake, my Lord.
My God, do hear and listen! Observe at our devastation. Look at the city called by your name! We submit our prayers of help to You, not because of our righteousness but because of Your great compassion.
My Lord, listen! forgive! pay attention and act! Don’t wait! My God, do all this for Your own sake, because Your city and people are called by Your name.
While I was still speaking, praying, and confessing my sin and the sins of my people Israel—while I was still praying my prayer for help to the Lord my God about my God’s holy mountain—
while I was still uttering this prayer, Gabriel approached me at the time of the evening offering. This was the same Gabriel I had seen in my earlier vision. He was instructed to hurry...
He explained as he spoke to me, “Daniel, here’s why I’ve come to give you insight and understanding.
When you began making your petitions, a word went out, and I’ve come to tell it to you because you are greatly treasured. So now understand this word and grasp the meaning of this vision!
70 weeks are appointed for your people and for your holy city to finish this rebellion, to end sins, to cover wrongdoing, to bring eternal righteousness, to seal up prophetic vision, and to anoint the most holy place.
So you must know and gain wisdom regarding the following: There will be 7 weeks from the moment the word went out to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until a leader is anointed. And for 62 weeks the city will be rebuilt with a courtyard and a moat. But through difficult times,
after the 62 weeks, the anointed one will be separated. No one will support him. The army of a future leader will destroy the city and the sanctuary. His end will come in a flood, but devastations will be decreed until the end of the war.
For one week, he will make a strong covenant with many people. For a half-week, he will stop both sacrifices and offerings. In their place will be monstrous desolations until the decreed destruction sweeps over the devastator.”
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
1 In the first year of Darius, son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, who hath been made king over the kingdom of the Chaldeans,
2 in the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, have understood by books the number of the years, (in that a word of Jehovah hath been unto Jeremiah the prophet,) concerning the fulfilling of the wastes of Jerusalem -- seventy years;
3 and I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek [by] prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes.
4 And I pray to Jehovah my God, and confess, and say: `I beseech Thee, O Lord God, the great and the fearful, keeping the covenant and the kindness to those loving Him, and to those keeping His commands;
5 we have sinned, and done perversely, and done wickedly, and rebelled, to turn aside from Thy commands, and from Thy judgments:
6 and we have not hearkened unto Thy servants, the prophets, who have spoken in Thy name unto our kings, our heads, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.
7 `To Thee, O Lord, [is] the righteousness, and to us the shame of face, as [at] this day, to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to all Israel, who are near, and who are far off, in all the lands whither Thou hast driven them, in their trespass that they have trespassed against Thee.
8 `O Lord, to us [is] the shame of face, to our kings, to our heads, and to our fathers, in that we have sinned against Thee.
9 `To the Lord our God [are] the mercies and the forgivenesses, for we have rebelled against Him,
10 and have not hearkened to the voice of Jehovah our God, to walk in His laws, that He hath set before us by the hand of His servants the prophets;
11 and all Israel have transgressed Thy law, to turn aside so as not to hearken to Thy voice; and poured on us is the execration, and the oath, that is written in the law of Moses, servant of God, because we have sinned against Him.
12 `And He confirmeth His words that He hath spoken against us, and against our judges who have judged us, to bring in upon us great evil, in that it hath not been done under the whole heavens as it hath been done in Jerusalem,
13 as it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil hath come upon us, and we have not appeased the face of Jehovah our God to turn back from our iniquities, and to act wisely in Thy truth.
14 And Jehovah doth watch for the evil, and bringeth it upon us, for righteous [is] Jehovah our God concerning all His works that He hath done, and we have not hearkened to His voice.
15 And now, O Lord our God, who hast brought forth Thy people from the land of Egypt by a strong hand, and dost make for Thee a name as at this day, we have sinned, we have done wickedly.
16 `O Lord, according to all Thy righteous acts, let turn back, I pray Thee, Thine anger and Thy fury from Thy city Jerusalem, Thy holy mount, for by our sins, and by the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and Thy people [are] for a reproach to all our neighbours;
17 and now, hearken, O our God, unto the prayer of Thy servant, and unto his supplication, and cause Thy face to shine on Thy sanctuary that [is] desolate, for the Lord's sake.
18 `Incline, O my God, Thine ear, and hear, open Thine eyes and see our desolations, and the city on which Thy name is called; for not for our righteous acts are we causing our supplications to fall before Thee, but for Thy mercies that [are] many.
19 O lord, hear, O Lord, forgive; O Lord, attend and do; do not delay, for Thine own sake, O my God, for Thy name is called on Thy city, and on Thy people.'
20 And while I am speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin, and the sin of my people Israel, and causing my supplication to fall before Jehovah my God, for the holy mount of my God,
21 yea, while I am speaking in prayer, then that one Gabriel, whom I had seen in vision at the commencement, being caused to fly swiftly, is coming unto me at the time of the evening present.
22 And he giveth understanding, and speaketh with me, and saith, `O Daniel, now I have come forth to cause thee to consider understanding wisely;
23 at the commencement of thy supplications hath the word come forth, and I have come to declare [it], for thou [art] greatly desired, and understand thou concerning the matter, and consider concerning the appearance.
24 `Seventy weeks are determined for thy people, and for thy holy city, to shut up the transgression, and to seal up sins, and to cover iniquity, and to bring in righteousness age-during, and to seal up vision and prophet, and to anoint the holy of holies.
25 And thou dost know, and dost consider wisely, from the going forth of the word to restore and to build Jerusalem till Messiah the Leader [is] seven weeks, and sixty and two weeks: the broad place hath been built again, and the rampart, even in the distress of the times.
26 And after the sixty and two weeks, cut off is Messiah, and the city and the holy place are not his, the Leader who hath come doth destroy the people; and its end [is] with a flood, and till the end [is] war, determined [are] desolations.
27 And he hath strengthened a covenant with many -- one week, and [in] the midst of the week he causeth sacrifice and present to cease, and by the wing of abominations he is making desolate, even till the consummation, and that which is determined is poured on the desolate one.'

after the 62 weeks, the anointed one will be separated.
1 In the first year of Darius, son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, who hath been made king over the kingdom of the Chaldeans,
2 in the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, have understood by books the number of the years, (in that a word of Jehovah hath been unto Jeremiah the prophet,) concerning the fulfilling of the wastes of Jerusalem -- seventy years;
3 and I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek [by] prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes.
4 And I pray to Jehovah my God, and confess, and say: `I beseech Thee, O Lord God, the great and the fearful, keeping the covenant and the kindness to those loving Him, and to those keeping His commands;
9 `To the Lord our God [are] the mercies and the forgivenesses, for we have rebelled against Him,
10 and have not hearkened to the voice of Jehovah our God, to walk in His laws, that He hath set before us by the hand of His servants the prophets;
16 `O Lord, according to all Thy righteous acts, let turn back, I pray Thee, Thine anger and Thy fury from Thy city Jerusalem, Thy holy mount, for by our sins, and by the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and Thy people [are] for a reproach to all our neighbours;
22 And he giveth understanding, and speaketh with me, and saith, `O Daniel, now I have come forth to cause thee to consider understanding wisely;

Daniel 10:1-21
In the 3rd year of King Cyrus of Persia a message was revealed to Daniel (also called Belteshazzar). This message was true and concerned a great war. He understood the message and gained insight by the vision.
In that time I, Daniel, was mourning for 3 entire weeks.
I ate no choice food; no meat or wine touched my lips, nor did I anoint myself with oil until the end of those three weeks.
On the 24th day of the first month I was beside the great river Tigris.
I looked up and saw a man clothed in linen wearing a belt made of gold from Ufaz.
His form had the appearance of yellow jasper, and his face had the look of lightning. His eyes were like blazing torches; his arms and feet had the gleam of polished bronze. His voice resounded like the sound of a large crowd.
Only I, Daniel, saw the vision; the men with me did not. Quite the contrary, they were overcome with fright and ran away and hid.
I alone was left to see this great vision. My strength drained from me, and my vitality vanished; I was without energy.
I listened to his voice, and as I did I fell into a trance-like sleep with my face to the ground.
Then a hand touched me and alighted me on my hands and knees.
He said to me, “Daniel, you are of great value. Understand what I'm about to say to you. So stand up, for I have now been sent to you.” When he said this to me, I stood up shaking.
Then he said to me, “Don’t be afraid, Daniel, for from the very first you applied your mind to understand and humble yourself before your God, your words were heard. I have come in response to your words.
However, the prince of the kingdom of Persia was opposing me for 21 days. But Michael, one of the leading princes, came to assist me, since I was left there with the kings of Persia.
Now I have come to help you understand what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision pertains to future days.”
While he was speaking to me, I lay flat on the ground -- unable to speak.
Then one who appeared to be human touched my lips. I opened my mouth and started to speak, saying to the one who was standing before me, “Sir, due to the vision, I'm anxious and have no strength.
How, sir, am I able to speak with you? My strength is gone, and I'm out of breath.”
Then the one who appeared to be a human being touched me again and strengthened me.
He said to me, “Don’t be afraid, you who are most appreciated. Peace be to you! Be strong! Really strong!” When he spoke to me, I was strengthened. I said, “Sir, you may speak now, for you have given me strength.”
He said, “Do you know why I have come to you? Now I am about to return to engage in battle with the prince of Persia. When I go, the prince of Greece is coming.
However, I will first tell you what is written in a dependable book. There is no one who strengthens me against such princes, except Michael your prince.
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
1 In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia, a thing is revealed to Daniel, whose name is called Belteshazzar, and the thing [is] true, and the warfare [is] great: and he hath understood the thing, and hath understanding about the appearance.
2 `In those days, I, Daniel, have been mourning three weeks of days;
3 desirable bread I have not eaten, and flesh and wine hath not come in unto my mouth, and I have not anointed myself at all, till the completion of three weeks of days.
4 `And in the twenty and fourth day of the first month, I have been by the side of the great river, that [is] Hiddekel:
5 and I lift up mine eyes, and look, and lo, a certain one clothed in linen, and his loins girt with pure gold of Uphaz,
6 and his body as a beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet as the aspect of bright brass, and the voice of his words as the voice of a multitude.
7 `And I have seen -- I, Daniel, by myself -- the appearance: and the men who have been with me have not seen the appearance, but a great trembling hath fallen on them, and they flee to be hidden;
8 and I have been left by myself, and I see this great appearance, and there hath been no power left in me, and my honour hath been turned in me to corruption, yea, I have not retained power.
9 `And I hear the voice of his words, and when I hear the voice of his words, then I have been in a trance on my face, and my face [is] to the earth;
10 and lo, a hand hath come against me, and shaketh me on my knees and the palms of my hands.
11 `And he saith unto me: Daniel, man greatly desired, attend to the words that I am speaking unto thee, and stand on thy station, for now I have been sent unto thee. `And when he speaketh with me this word, I have stood trembling.
12 And he saith unto me: Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that thou didst give thy heart to understand, and to humble thyself before thy God, thy words have been heard, and I have come because of thy words.
13 `And the head of the kingdom of Persia is standing over-against me twenty and one days, and lo, Michael, first of the chief heads, hath come in to help me, and I have remained there near the kings of Persia;
14 and I have come to cause thee to understand that which doth happen to thy people in the latter end of the days, for yet the vision [is] after days.
15 `And when he speaketh with me about these things, I have set my face toward the earth, and have been silent;
16 and lo, as the manner of the sons of men, he is striking against my lips, and I open my mouth, and I speak, and say unto him who is standing over-against me: My lord, by the appearance turned have been my pangs against me, and I have retained no power.
17 And how is the servant of this my lord able to speak with this my lord? as for me, henceforth there remaineth in me no power, yea, breath hath not been left in me.
18 `And he addeth, and striketh against me, as the appearance of a man, and strengtheneth me,
19 and he saith: Do not fear, O man greatly desired, peace to thee, be strong, yea, be strong; and when he speaketh with me, I have strengthened myself, and I say, Let my lord speak, for thou hast strengthened me.
20 And he saith, Hast thou known why I have come unto thee? and now I turn back to fight with the head of Persia; yea, I am going forth, and lo, the head of Javan hath come;
21 but I declare to thee that which is noted down in the Writing of Truth, and there is not one strengthening himself with me, concerning these, except Michael your head

Re: Bible verse by verse
Daniel 11:1-45
During the 1st year of Darius the Mede’s rule, I wanted to uplift and protect him.
I will now tell you factually. Persia will have 3 more kings, but a 4th will be richer than all of them. Once he has become strong through his great riches, he will unsettle everyone, including the kingdom of Greece.
Then a warrior-king will rise up, ruling over a vast empire and doing whatever he desires.
But even as he assumes control, his kingdom will be broken, divided to the 4 winds of heaven. It won’t pass to his descendants. No one will rule the way he did because his kingdom will be rooted out. It will belong to others.
Then the southern king will assume power, but one of his princes will overpower him, taking his spot. His empire will be last.
After some years, they will make an alliance. The southern king’s daughter will go to the northern king to finalize the agreement, but she won’t keep her great power. Neither will his power remain in place. In those days she will be given over, along with her escort, the one who fathered her, and the one who strengthened her.
A branch from her roots will rise in his place. Attacking the army, he will enter the walled fortress of the northern king. He will fight with them, and he will conquer.
He will even carry off their gods to Egypt, along with statues and silver & gold accoutrements. For years he will avoid the northern king.
Then the northern king will attack the kingdom of the southern king, but will return to his own land.
His sons will get ready for war, gathering massive forces. Their attack will be like an overwhelming flood. And they will attack again, taking the battle as far as his walled fortress.
The southern king, in a fit of rage, will come out to battle the northern king. He will gather a huge army, but the army will be taken over by his enemy.
When the army is carried off, he will become self-assured. He will murder tens of thousands, but he will not stand strong.
The northern king will then muster another army—this one bigger than previously. After some years have passed, he will attack with a large and well-equipped army.
At that time, many will oppose the southern king. Violent persons from among your people also will rise up to carry out the vision, but they will fail.
When the northern king attacks, he will throw up a siege ramp and capture a walled city. The southern forces will not be able to resist—not even its elite forces. No one will be strong enough to resist.
The one who comes to attack will do whatever he bids; no one will be able to oppose him. He will take his place in the beautiful country, and he will dish out ruin.
He will decide to occupy his entire kingdom by force. He will make an agreement with him and will give him a wife, intending to kill him, but it won’t succeed nor happen.
He will reset as his goal the coastlands, capturing many people. A commander will put an end to his disgrace, even though he won’t repay that disgrace.
Then he will turn his attention to the walled fortresses of his own country but will stumble, fall, and be forgotten.
In his place one will arise who will send his agent to exact a kingdom’s glory, but in a few days he will be broken, though not by anger and not by war.
A fool will arise in his place. Royal majesty will not have been given to him, but he will come in a time of security and seize the kingdom through deceitful plans.
Forces will be completely swept away and broken before him. The same is true for the leader of the covenant.
From the moment they make an agreement with him, he will act deceitfully. He will gain power at the expense of a small country. He will come into a province’s richest places untroubled and will do what his fathers and grandfathers never could. He will distribute plunder, spoil, and wealth to them. He will make plans against forts, but only for a time.
Then with a large army he will gather his strength and courage against the southern king. The southern king, with a large and super powerful army, will prepare for war, but he won’t endure because they will devise plans against him.
Those who eat the king’s provisions will destroy him. His army will be overrun. Many will die.
These two kings, with their minds set on evil, will sit at one table, lying, but with no success because the end will come at the determined moment.
He will return to his country with great wealth and set his mind against a holy covenant. He will do what he wants and then return to his country.
At the appointed time he will again battle against the south, but the 2nd time will be different from the first.
Kittim ships will fight against him, and he will retreat in fear. He will rage against a holy covenant and will do what he desires. Then he will pay special attention to those who violate a holy covenant.
His forces will come and make the sanctuary fortress impure. They will stop the daily sacrifice and set up a disheartening monstrosity.
By deceitful means he will corrupt those who violate a covenant, but the people who acknowledge their God will stand strong and will act.
The people’s teachers will help many comprehend, but for a time they will fall by sword and by flame, captivity and plunder.
When they fall, they will receive a little help, but many will join them with deceitful plans.
Some of the teachers also will die in order that they might be refined, purified, and cleansed—until a later time, because it is still not yet the set time.
The king will do as he wishes. He will exalt himself, making himself greater than any god. He will say unbelievable things against the God of gods. He will succeed until the doom ends, because what is decreed must occur.
He will give no thought to the gods of his ancestors, nor to the god cherished by women. He will give no thought to any god, because he will set himself greater than them all.
In their place, he will worship a god of bunkers/castles. With gold and silver, rare stones and precious things, he will worship a god his fathers did not acknowledge.
He will deal with walled fortresses with the help of a foreign god. He will heap rewards on those who support him, making them rule over many and dividing up the land for a price.
In the end time, the southern king will attack him. The northern king will storm against him with chariots and horses and many ships. He will invade countries, sweeping over them like a flood.
He will invade the beautiful country, and tens of thousands will die. But Edom, Moab, and the best of the Ammonites will escape from his grasp.
He will extend his power into other countries. Even Egypt won’t escape.
He will take control of Egypt’s hidden treasures of gold, silver, and all its precious commodities. Libyans and Cushites will follow at his feet.
But reports from the east and north will perturb him, and in wild rage he will set off to devastate and destroy many.
He will pitch his royal tents between the sea and the beautiful holy mountain. But he will come to his end, and no one will help.
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
1`And I, in the first year of Darius the Mede, my standing [is] for a strengthener, and for a stronghold to him;
2 and, now, truth I declare to thee, Lo, yet three kings are standing for Persia, and the fourth doth become far richer than all, and according to his strength by his riches he stirreth up the whole, with the kingdom of Javan.
3 And a mighty king hath stood, and he hath ruled a great dominion, and hath done according to his will;
4 and according to his standing is his kingdom broken, and divided to the four winds of the heavens, and not to his posterity, nor according to his dominion that he ruled, for his kingdom is plucked up -- and for others apart from these.
5 `And a king of the south -- even of his princes -- doth become strong, and doth prevail against him, and hath ruled; a great dominion [is] his dominion.
6 `And at the end of years they do join themselves together, and a daughter of the king of the south doth come in unto the king of the north to do upright things; and she doth not retain the power of the arm; and he doth not stand, nor his arm; and she is given up, she, and those bringing her in, and her child, and he who is strengthening her in [these] times.
7 `And [one] hath stood up from a branch of her roots, [in] his station, and he cometh in unto the bulwark, yea, he cometh into a stronghold of the king of the south, and hath wrought against them, and hath done mightily;
8 and also their gods, with their princes, with their desirable vessels of silver and gold, into captivity he bringeth [into] Egypt; and he doth stand more years than the king of the north.
9 `And the king of the south hath come into the kingdom, and turned back unto his own land;
10 and his sons stir themselves up, and have gathered a multitude of great forces, and he hath certainly come in, and overflowed, and passed through, and he turneth back, and they stir themselves up unto his stronghold.
11 And the king of the south doth become embittered, and hath gone forth and fought with him, with the king of the north, and hath caused a great multitude to stand, and the multitude hath been given into his hand,
12 and he hath carried away the multitude, his heart is high, and he hath caused myriads to fall, and he doth not become strong.
13 `And the king of the north hath turned back, and hath caused a multitude to stand, greater than the first, and at the end of the times a second time he doth certainly come in with a great force, and with much substance;
14 and in those times many do stand up against the king of the south, and sons of the destroyers of thy people do lift themselves up to establish the vision -- and they have stumbled.
15 `And the king of the north cometh in, and poureth out a mount, and hath captured fenced cities; and the arms of the south do not stand, nor the people of his choice, yea, there is no power to stand.
16 And he who is coming unto him doth according to his will, and there is none standing before him; and he standeth in the desirable land, and [it is] wholly in his hand.
17 And he setteth his face to go in with the strength of his whole kingdom, and upright ones with him; and he hath wrought, and the daughter of women he giveth to him, to corrupt her; and she doth not stand, nor is for him.
18 `And he turneth back his face to the isles, and hath captured many; and a prince hath caused his reproach of himself to cease; without his reproach he turneth [it] back to him.
19 And he turneth back his face to the strongholds of his land, and hath stumbled and fallen, and is not found.
20 `And stood up on his station hath [one] causing an exactor to pass over the honour of the kingdom, and in a few days he is destroyed, and not in anger, nor in battle.
21 `And stood up on his station hath a despicable one, and they have not given unto him the honour of the kingdom, and he hath come in quietly, and hath strengthened the kingdom by flatteries.
22 And the arms of the flood are overflowed from before him, and are broken; and also the leader of the covenant.
23 And after they join themselves unto him, he worketh deceit, and hath increased, and hath been strong by a few of the nation.
24 Peaceably even into the fertile places of the province He cometh, and he hath done that which his fathers did not, nor his fathers' fathers; prey, and spoil, and substance, to them he scattereth, and against fenced places he deviseth his devices, even for a time.
25 `And he stirreth up his power and his heart against the king of the south with a great force, and the king of the south stirreth himself up to battle with a very great and mighty force, and standeth not, for they devise devices against him,
26 and those eating his portion of food destroy him, and his force overfloweth, and fallen have many wounded.
27 `And both of the kings' hearts [are] to do evil, and at one table they speak lies, and it doth not prosper, for yet the end [is] at a time appointed.
28 And he turneth back [to] his land with great substance, and his heart [is] against the holy covenant, and he hath wrought, and turned back to his land.
29 At the appointed time he turneth back, and hath come against the south, and it is not as the former, and as the latter.
30 And ships of Chittim have come in against him, and he hath been pained, and hath turned back, and hath been insolent toward the holy covenant, and hath wrought, and turned back, and he understandeth concerning those forsaking the holy covenant.
31 And strong ones out of him stand up, and have polluted the sanctuary, the stronghold, and have turned aside the continual [sacrifice], and appointed the desolating abomination.
32 And those acting wickedly [against] the covenant, he defileth by flatteries; and the people knowing their God are strong, and have wrought.
33 And the teachers of the people give understanding to many; and they have stumbled by sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil -- days.
34 And in their stumbling, they are helped -- a little help, and joined to them have been many with flatteries.
35 And some of the teachers do stumble for refining by them, and for purifying, and for making white -- till the end of the time, for [it is] yet for a time appointed.
36 `And the king hath done according to his will, and exalteth himself, and magnifieth himself against every god, and against the God of gods he speaketh wonderful things, and hath prospered till the indignation hath been completed, for that which is determined hath been done.
37 And unto the God of his fathers he doth not attend, nor to the desire of women, yea, to any god he doth not attend, for against all he magnifieth himself.
38 And to the god of strongholds, on his station, he giveth honour; yea, to a god whom his fathers knew not he giveth honour, with gold, and with silver, and with precious stone, and with desirable things.
39 And he hath dealt in the fortresses of the strongholds with a strange god whom he hath acknowledged; he multiplieth honour, and hath caused them to rule over many, and the ground he apportioneth at a price.
40 `And at the time of the end, push himself forward with him doth a king of the south, and storm against him doth a king of the north, with chariot, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he hath come in to the lands, and hath overflowed, and passed over,
41 and hath come into the desirable land, and many do stumble, and these escape from his hand: Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the sons of Ammon.
42 `And he sendeth forth his hand upon the lands, and the land of Egypt is not for an escape;
43 and he hath ruled over treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the desirable things of Egypt, and Lubim and Cushim [are] at his steps.
44 `And reports trouble him out of the east and out of the north, and he hath gone forth in great fury to destroy, and to devote many to destruction;
45 and he planteth the tents of his palace between the seas and the holy desirable mountain, and hath come unto his end, and there is no helper to him.
1`And I, in the first year of Darius the Mede, my standing [is] for a strengthener, and for a stronghold to him;
2 and, now, truth I declare to thee, Lo, yet three kings are standing for Persia, and the fourth doth become far richer than all, and according to his strength by his riches he stirreth up the whole, with the kingdom of Javan.
3 And a mighty king hath stood, and he hath ruled a great dominion, and hath done according to his will;
4 and according to his standing is his kingdom broken, and divided to the four winds of the heavens, and not to his posterity, nor according to his dominion that he ruled, for his kingdom is plucked up -- and for others apart from these.
7 `And [one] hath stood up from a branch of her roots, [in] his station, and he cometh in unto the bulwark, yea, he cometh into a stronghold of the king of the south, and hath wrought against them, and hath done mightily;
8 and also their gods, with their princes, with their desirable vessels of silver and gold, into captivity he bringeth [into] Egypt; and he doth stand more years than the king of the north.
9 `And the king of the south hath come into the kingdom, and turned back unto his own land;
13 `And the king of the north hath turned back, and hath caused a multitude to stand, greater than the first, and at the end of the times a second time he doth certainly come in with a great force, and with much substance;

Daniel 12:1-13
In that day Michael shall rise, being that great prince who is the guardian over Israel. And a time of torment will be such as never was since Israel existed as a nation. And at that time Israel shall be delivered --- everyone found recorded in the book.
A large number of those buried in the ground shall awake, some to everlasting life, but others to shame and everlasting hatred.
Those who are wise shall shine as the brightness of the expanse of heaven, and those who point many towards righteousness as the stars forever and ever.
But you, Daniel, disguise the words and lock the book for the last days. Many shall run around, and knowledge shall increase.”
Then I, Daniel, looked, and there before me stood an additional 2 individuals, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river.
One said to the man dressed in linen, who was above the water of the river, “How long will it take until the end of these wonders?”
And I heard the man dressed in linen, who was above the water of the river, when He lifted his right hand and his left hand towards heaven, and swore by Him alive forever that it would last for 3 1/2 years. And when they finish shattering the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.
As for me, I heard, but I could not understand. So I said, “My lord, what shall be the final result of these things?”
And he said, “Continue along, Daniel. For these words are not comprehendible and are sealed until the time of the end.
Many shall be purified and made white and tested. But the wicked shall persist in wickedness, and none of the wicked shall comprehend, but the wise shall understand.
From the time that the daily sacrifice shall be halted and the abomination that causes ruin is set up, there shall be 1290 days.
Blessed is he who persists and arrives to the 1335 days.
But as for you, continue to the end. Then you shall sleep and rise again to your position at the end of the age.”

1 `And at that time stand up doth Michael, the great head, who is standing up for the sons of thy people, and there hath been a time of distress, such as hath not been since there hath been a nation till that time, and at that time do thy people escape, every one who is found written in the book.

Re: Bible verse by verse
Hosea 1:1-11
This is the word of the Lord which Beeri's son Hosea received, during the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and during the days of Joash's son Jeroboam, king of Israel.
When the Lord first spoke by way of Hosea, the Lord said to Hosea: “Go, marry a prostitute from among a linage of prostitutes, for the land has committed great whoredom, ignoring the Lord.”
So Hosea went and married Gomer the daughter of Diblaim. She conceived, and bore him a son.
The Lord said to Homer: “Name him Jezreel, for in a short time, I will punish the house of Jehu for the blood of Jezreel, and will bring to an end the kingdom of Israel.
On that day, I will break the bow of Israel in the Valley of Jezreel.”
Then Gomer conceived again, bearing a daughter. And the Lord told Hosea: “Name her Lo-Ruhamah, for I will no longer take mercy upon the house of Israel but will utterly sweep them away.
But I will have mercy upon the house of Judah, and will save them by the Lord their God, and will not save them by bow, or by sword, or by battle, or by horses, or by horsemen.”
When Gomer had weaned Lo-Ruhamah, she conceived another son.
Then the Lord said: “Name him Lo-Ammi, for you are not My people, and I am not your God.”
Yet the number of the children of Israel will be like the sand of the sea, unmeasured and enumerable. And replacing where remarked, “You are not My people,” there it will be said to them, “You are the children of the living God.”
Then the Judahites and the children of Israel will be gathered together, and appoint themselves one leader, and they will leave the land, for great will be the day of Jezreel.
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
1 A word of Jehovah that hath been unto Hosea, son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam son of Joash, king of Israel:
2 The commencement of Jehovah's speaking by Hosea. And Jehovah saith unto Hosea, `Go, take to thee a woman of whoredoms, and children of whoredoms, for utterly go a-whoring doth the land from after Jehovah.'
3 And he goeth and taketh Gomer daughter of Diblaim, and she conceiveth and beareth to him a son;
4 and Jehovah saith unto him, `Call his name Jezreel, for yet a little, and I have charged the blood of Jezreel on the house of Jehu, and have caused to cease the kingdom of the house of Israel;
5 and it hath come to pass in that day that I have broken the bow of Israel, in the valley of Jezreel.'
6 And she conceiveth again, and beareth a daughter, and He saith to him, `Call her name Lo-Ruhamah, for I add no more to pity the house of Israel, for I do utterly take them away;
7 and the house of Judah I pity, and have saved them by Jehovah their God, and do not save them by bow, and by sword, and by battle, by horses, and by horsemen.'
8 And she weaneth Lo-Ruhamah, and conceiveth, and beareth a son;
9 and He saith, `Call his name Lo-Ammi, for ye [are] not My people, and I am not for you;
10 and the number of the sons of Israel hath been as the sand of the sea, that is not measured nor numbered, and it hath come to pass in the place where it is said to them, Ye [are] not My people, it is said to them, Sons of the Living God;
11 and gathered have been the sons of Judah and the sons of Israel together, and they have appointed to themselves one head, and have gone up from the land, for great [is] the day of Jezreel.

7 and the house of Judah I pity, and have saved them by Jehovah their God, and do not save them by bow, and by sword, and by battle, by horses, and by horsemen.'
8 And she weaneth Lo-Ruhamah, and conceiveth, and beareth a son;
9 and He saith, `Call his name Lo-Ammi, for ye [are] not My people, and I am not for you;
10 and the number of the sons of Israel hath been as the sand of the sea, that is not measured nor numbered, and it hath come to pass in the place where it is said to them, Ye [are] not My people, it is said to them, Sons of the Living God;
11 and gathered have been the sons of Judah and the sons of Israel together, and they have appointed to themselves one head, and have gone up from the land, for great [is] the day of Jezreel.

Sweet Jesus!
Do you think people are reading the Bible as you post it?
Do you realize nobody is bothering to even respond anymore?
What is it you hope to accomplish by this?
Maybe you will actually start converting people once you hit the New Testament.

You prove yourself of the devil and anti-mormon every word you utter, because only the devil perverts facts to make their case.--ldsfaqs (6-24-13)

Actually, do you imagine that over 165000 views don't count? I don't convert. The Lord does the converting and His Word spells out how.

Hosea 2:1-23
Say to your brother, My People, and to your sister, Compassion:
Pronounce a charge against your mother; plead with her! She is not my wife, and I am not her husband. Let her give up prostitution, and adultery from between her breasts,
or else I will strip her naked and expose her as on the day she was born. I will make her like a desert, and turn her to a waste, and make her die of thirst.
I will also have no compassion on her children because they will follow their mother.
Their mother has played the prostitute; she who conceived them has behaved shamefully. She said, “I will seek out my lovers; they give me my bread and water, wool, linen cloth, oil and drink.”
Therefore, I will line her path with thorns; and I will build roadblocks before her, so that she can’t find any direction.
She will go after her lovers, but she won’t catch up with them; she will seek them, but she won’t find them. Then she will say, “I will return to my first husband, for I had it better then than now.”
She realize that I gave her the corn, the new wine, the fresh oil, plus much silver, and gold that they dedicate for Baal.
So now I will retrieve my corn in its time, and my wine in season; and I will remove my wool and my linen cloth, which were to cover her nudity.
Now I will uncover her nakedness in plain view of her lovers, and no one will save her from Me.
I will end all her religious celebrations, her festivals, her new moons, her Sabbath days, and all her sacred seasons.
I will destroy her vines and her fig trees --- that she declared, “These are my pay, which my lovers have given to me.” I will change them into a forest, and the wild animals will consume them.
I will punish her for the days dedicated to the Baals, when she offered sweet-smelling sacrifices to them and dressed herself up with rings and jewelry, and went after her lovers, and forgot Me, says the Lord.
Therefore, I will charm her, and bring her into the desert, and speak tenderly to her heart.
From there I will give her vineyards, and make the Achor Valley an opening of hope. There she will respond to Me as in the days when she was young, like the time when she came out of the land of Egypt.
At that time, says the Lord, you will call Me, “My husband,” and no longer will you call me, “My Lord.”
I will remove the names of the Baals from her mouth, and they will not be mentioned by name ever again.
On that day, I will make a covenant for them with the wild animals, the birds in the sky, and the creeping creatures of the fertile ground. I will do away with weapons and war from the land; I will make you lie down in safety.
I will seize for My eternal wife; I will take you for my wife in righteousness and in justice, in devoted love, and in mercy.
I will take you for My wife in faithfulness; and you will know the Lord.
At that time I will answer, says the Lord. I will answer the heavens and they will answer the earth.
The earth will answer the corn, the new wine, and the fresh oil, and they will answer Jezreel;
I will sow him for myself in the land; and I will have compassion on No Compassion, and I will say to Not My People, “You are my people”; and he will say, “You are my God.”
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
1 `Say ye to your brethren -- Ammi, And to your sisters -- Ruhamah.
2 Plead ye with your mother -- plead, (For she [is] not My wife, and I [am] not her husband,) And she turneth her whoredoms from before her, And her adulteries from between her breasts,
3 Lest I strip her naked. And have set her up as [in] the day of her birth, And have made her as a wilderness, And have set her as a dry land, And have put her to death with thirst.
4 And her sons I do not pity, For sons of whoredoms [are] they,
5 For gone a-whoring hath their mother, Acted shamefully hath their conceiver, For she hath said, I go after my lovers, Those giving my bread and my water, My wool and my flax, my oil and my drink.
6 Therefore, lo, I am hedging up thy way with thorns, And I have made for her a wall, And her paths she doth not find.
7 And she hath pursued her lovers, And she doth not overtake them, And hath sought them, and doth not find, And she hath said: I go, and I turn back unto My first husband, For -- better to me then than n
ow.
8 And she knew not that I had given to her, The corn, and the new wine, and the oil. Yea, silver I did multiply to her, And the gold they prepared for Baal.
9 Therefore do I turn back, And I have taken My corn in its season, And My new wine in its appointed time, And I have taken away My wool and My flax, covering her nakedness.
10 And now do I reveal her dishonour before the eyes of her lovers, And none doth deliver her out of My hand.11 And I have caused to cease all her joy, Her festival, her new moon, and her sabbath, Even all her appointed times,
12 And made desolate her vine and her fig-tree, Of which she said, A gift they [are] to me, That my lovers have given to me, And I have made them for a forest, And consumed them hath a beast of the field.
13 And I have charged on her the days of the Baalim, To whom she maketh perfume, And putteth on her ring and her ornament, And goeth after her lovers, And Me forgat -- an affirmation of Jehovah.
14 Therefore, lo, I am enticing her, And have caused her to go to the wilderness, And I have spoken unto her heart,
15 And given to her her vineyards from thence, And the valley of Achor for an opening of hope, And she hath responded there as in the days of her youth, And as in the day of her coming up out of the land of Egypt.
16 And it hath come to pass, in that day, An affirmation of Jehovah, Thou dost call Me -- My husband, And dost not call Me any more -- My lord.
17 And I have turned aside the names of the lords from her mouth, And they are not remembered any more by their name.
18 And I have made to them a covenant in that day, with the beast of the field, And with the fowl of the heavens, And the creeping thing of the ground, And bow, and sword, and war I break from off the land, And have caused them to lie down confidently.
19 And I have betrothed thee to Me to the age, And betrothed thee to Me in righteousness, And in judgment, and kindness, and mercies,
20 And betrothed thee to Me in faithfulness, And thou hast known Jehovah.
21 And it hath come to pass in that day, I answer -- an affirmation of Jehovah, I answer the heavens, and they answer the earth.
22 And the earth doth answer the corn, And the new wine, and the oil, And they answer Jezreel.
23 And I have sowed her to Me in the land, And I have pitied Lo-Ruhamah, And I have said to Lo-Ammi, My people thou [art], and it saith, My God!'

Hosea 3:1-5
Then the Lord told Hosea again, “Go, love a woman who has a lover and is involved in adultery, just as the Lord loves the people of Israel, though they turn to other gods and love raisin cakes.”
So Hosea purchased her for 15 silver pieces, a large amount of barley, and a portion of wine.
Hosea told her, “You must stay with me for many days; you won’t behave as a prostitute; you won’t have sex with a man, nor I with you.”
Similarly, the Israelites will remain many days without king or prince, without sacrifice or sacred standing stone, without a priestly vest or household idols.
Afterward the Israelites will return and seek the Lord their God and David their king; they will come trembling to the Lord and to the Lord’s goodness during the latter days.
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
1 And Jehovah saith unto me: `Again, go, love a woman, loved of a friend, and an adulteress, like the loved of Jehovah, the sons of Israel, and they are turning unto other gods, and are lovers of grape-cakes.'
2 And I buy her to me for fifteen silverlings, and a homer and a letech of barley;
3 and I say unto her, `Many days thou dost remain for Me, thou dost not go a-whoring, nor become any one's; and I also [am] for thee.'
4 For many days remain do the sons of Israel without a king, and there is no prince, and there is no sacrifice, and there is no standing pillar, and there is no ephod and teraphim.
5 Afterwards turned back have the sons of Israel, and sought Jehovah their God, and David their king, and have hastened unto Jehovah, and unto His goodness, in the latter end of the days.
