Hosea 4:1-19
Hear the word of the Lord, people of Israel! For He has a grievance against the citizens of the country: there is no truth, no faithful love or understanding of God in the land;
only cursing, lying, murder, stealing and committing adultery! They break all rules, with one blood crime following another.
Therefore the land mourns, and everyone living there is weak. Along with the wild animals, the birds in the air; even the fish in the sea--- they are taken away.
But no one should quarrel or rebuke, because your people are having to quarrel with the priests.
Therefore you will trip by day, and the prophet will stumble with you at night. “I will destroy your mother.
My people are destroyed for lack of understanding Because you rejected knowledge,
I will also reject you as My priests. Because you forgot the Law of your God, I will forget your decendents.
The more the population grows, the more they sinned against me. I will change their glory into shame.
They feed on the sin of my people and are greedy for their crimes.
But the priests will fare no better than the people; I will punish him for his behavior and pay him back for his deeds.
They will eat but not have enough and consort with whores but will be childless, because they stopped listening to the Lord.
Whoring and wine, both old and new, empty my people’s brains.
My people consult carvings of wood, their diviner’s wand speaks to them; for the spirit of whoring causes them to live in error, they go off whoring, deserting their God.[i][u] [Was Joseph Smith guilty of this?]
[/i][/u]
They sacrifice on the mountain peaks and offer incense on the hills under oaks, poplars and pistachio trees; because they give good shade. Therefore your daughters behave like whores, And your daughters-in-law commit adultery.
I won’t punish your daughters when they act like whores, or your daughters-in-law when they commit adultery; because the men are themselves running off with whores and worshiping with prostitutes. Yes, a people without understanding will be ruined.”
If you, Israel, prostitute yourself, still Judah has no need to acquire such guilt. Don’t go to Gilgal or to Beth-Aven, and don’t swear, “As Adonai lives.”
For Israel is stubborn as a stubborn cow; will Lord now feed them like a lamb in a big pasture?
Ephraim is connected with idols; let him alone!
When they finish carousing, they begin whoring; their leaders deeply enjoy dishonor.
The wind will carry them off in its wings and their sacrifices bring them nothing but shame.
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
1 `Hear a word of Jehovah, sons of Israel, For a strife [is] to Jehovah with inhabitants of the land, For there is no truth, nor kindness, Nor knowledge of God, in the land,
2 Swearing, and lying, and murdering, And stealing, and committing adultery -- have increased, And blood against blood hath touched.
3 Therefore mourn doth the land, And weak is every dweller in it, With the beast of the field, And with the fowl of the heavens, And the fishes of the sea -- they are removed.
4 Only, let no one strive, nor reprove a man, And thy people [are] as those striving with a priest.
5 And thou hast stumbled in the day, And stumbled hath also a prophet with thee in the night, And I have cut off thy mother.
6 Cut off have been My people for lack of knowledge, Because thou knowledge hast rejected, I reject thee from being priest to Me, And thou forgettest the law of thy God, I forget thy sons, I also!
7 According to their abundance so they sinned against Me, Their honour into shame I change.
8 The sin of My people they do eat, And unto their iniquity lift up their soul.
9 And it hath been, like people, like priest, And I have charged on it its ways, And its habitual doings I return to it.
10 And they have eaten, and are not satisfied, They have gone a-whoring, and increase not, For they have left off taking heed to Jehovah.
11 Whoredom, and wine, and new wine, take the heart,
12 My people at its staff asketh and its rod declareth to it, For a spirit of whoredoms hath caused to err, And they go a-whoring from under their God.
13 On tops of the mountains they do sacrifice, And on the hills they make perfume, Under oak, and poplar, and terebinth, For good [is] its shade.
14 Therefore commit whoredom do your daughters, And your spouses commit adultery, I do not see after your daughters when they commit whoredom, And after your spouses when they commit adultery,
For they with the harlots are separated, And with the whores they do sacrifice, A people that doth not understand kicketh.
15 Though a harlot thou [art], O Israel, Let not Judah become guilty, And come not ye in to Gilgal, nor go up to Beth-Aven, Nor swear ye, Jehovah liveth.
16 For as a refractory heifer hath Israel turned aside, Now doth Jehovah feed them as a lamb in a large place.
17 Joined to idols [is] Ephraim, let him alone.
18 Sour [is] their drink, They have gone diligently a-whoring, Her protectors have loved shame thoroughly.
19 Distressed her hath wind with its wings, And they are ashamed of their sacrifices!

Do you think people are reading the Bible as you post it?
Do you realize nobody is bothering to even respond anymore?
What is it you hope to accomplish by this?
Maybe you will actually start converting people once you hit the New Testament.
Actually, do you imagine that over 165000 views don't count? I don't convert. The Lord does the converting and His Word spells out how.
You think the number of views is important? You can find people lighting farts on Youtube that probably rank higher than 165,000. For sure any time Kim Kardashian has a nude selfie on Twitter there are millions of views.

Be honest with YOURSELF for once. If no one is viewing, then no one is watching. And if no one is watching, then no one could be reading... I do hope that is not too lofty a rationalization for you.

Hosea 5:1-15
Hear this, priests! Pay attention, Israel! Listen, house of the king! The judgment concerns you because you have been a trap at Mizpah, and a net spread out upon Tabor.
In their wicked condition, they have become more and more corrupted. I will correct them through judgment.
I know Ephraim; Israel doesn’t escape My observation; for now Ephraim you behave like a prostitute; Israel is defiled.
Their deeds don’t permit them to return to God, because the spirit of prostitution possesses them, and they don’t know the Lord.
Israel’s pride is a witness against him; both Israel and Ephraim falter because of their guilt --- Judah falters with them.
With their sheep and their cattle they will seek the Lord, but they will not find him. He has withdrawn from them.
They have acted faithlessly against the Lord; for their decendents have produced illegitimate children. Now the new moon will devour them along with their fields.
Blow a horn in Gibeah -- blow a trumpet in Ramah. Sound the warning at Beth-aven: “Watch your back, Benjamin!”
Ephraim will become a horrible place on the Judgment Day. Against the tribes of Israel I will certainly announce what is to take place.
The princes of Judah act like raiders who steal the land; I will pour out my anger like water upon them.
Ephraim is under pressure from its enemies; Ephraim’s rights aren’t protected. This is because Ephraim chose to pursue what isn't important.
Therefore, I am like a moth to Ephraim, and like decay to the house of Judah.
When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah his wound, then Ephraim went to Assyria, and sent for the great king.
But he could not heal them; nor could he cure their wound.
I am like a lion to Ephraim, like a young lion to the house of Judah. I am the one who tears the prey and leaves; no one can grab it from me.
I will leave so that I can return to My place until they pay for their deeds, until they look for Me. In their distress, they will beg for Me:
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
1 `Hear this, O priests, and attend, O house of Israel, And, O house of the king, give ear, For the judgment [is] for you, For, a snare ye have been on Mizpah, And a net spread out on Tabor.
2 And to slaughter sinners have gone deep, And I [am] a fetter to them all.
3 I have known Ephraim, And Israel hath not been hid from me, For now thou hast gone a-whoring, Ephraim, Defiled is Israel.
4 They give not up their habitual doings, To turn back unto their God, For a spirit of whoredoms [is] in their midst, And Jehovah they have not known.
5 And humbled hath been the excellency of Israel to his face, And Israel and Ephraim stumble by their iniquity, Stumbled also hath Judah with them.
6 With their flock and with their herd, They go to seek Jehovah, and do not find, He hath withdrawn from them.
7 Against Jehovah they dealt treacherously, For strange sons they have begotten, Now consume them doth a month [with] their portions.
8 Blow ye a cornet in Gibeah, a trumpet in Ramah, Shout, O Beth-Aven, after thee, O Benjamin.
9 Ephraim is for a desolation in a day of reproof, Among the tribes of Israel I have made known a sure thing.
10 Princes of Judah have been as those removing a border, On them I do pour out as water My wrath.
11 Oppressed is Ephraim, broken in judgment, When he pleased he went after the command.
12 And I [am] as a moth to Ephraim, And as a rotten thing to the house of Judah.
13 And see doth Ephraim his sickness, and Judah his wound, And Ephraim goeth unto Asshur, And sendeth unto a warlike king, And he is not able to give healing to you, Nor doth he remove from you a scar.
14 For I [am] as a lion to Ephraim, And as a young lion to the house of Judah, I -- I tear and go, I bear away, and there is no deliverer.
15 I go -- I turn back unto My place, Till that they are desolate, and have sought My face. In their distress they do seek Me speedily!'

Christians do not convert, they sow seeds. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit do the conversion. I do not know how many people I maybe influencing; however, God knows and really that is all that matters.

Hosea 6:1-11
Come, let us return to the Lord; because He ripped and will heal us; He has smacked, and He will bandage our wounds.
After 2 days, He will resuscitate us; on the 3rd day, He will raise us up; and we will live in his presence.
Let us strive to know Lord. That He will come is as certain as morning; He will come to us like the rain,
like the spring rains that water the earth.
“Ephraim and Judah, what should I do to you? For your ‘faithful love’ is like a morning fog, like dew that quickly evaporates.
This is why I have cut them to pieces through the prophets, slaughtered them with the words from my mouth. Your judgment is as clear as day.
For what I desire is mercy, not sacrifices, an understanding of God more than burnt offerings.
But they, just as Adam, have broken the covenant, they have been faithless in dealing with me.
Gilead is a city of criminals, covered with bloody footprints; just as bands of robbers wait to ambush someone, so too a gang of priests. They commit murder on the road to Shechem !Their conduct is outrageous!
In Israel I have observed a horrific occurrence; whoring is found in Ephraim, Israel is defiled.
For you, too, Judah, reaping will happen as i restore My people!"
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
1 `Come, and we turn back unto Jehovah, For He hath torn, and He doth heal us, He doth smite, and He bindeth us up.
2 He doth revive us after two days, In the third day He doth raise us up, And we live before Him.
3 And we know -- we pursue to know Jehovah, As the dawn prepared is His going forth, And He cometh in as a shower to us, As gathered rain -- sprinkling earth.'
4 What do I do to thee, O Ephraim? What do I do to thee, O Judah? Your goodness [is] as a cloud of the morning, And as dew rising early -- going.
5 Therefore I have hewed by prophets, I have slain them by sayings of My mouth, And My judgments to the light goeth forth.
6 For kindness I desired, and not sacrifice, And a knowledge of God above burnt-offerings.
7 And they, as Adam, transgressed a covenant, There they dealt treacherously against me.
8 Gilead [is] a city of workers of iniquity, Slippery from blood.
9 And as bands do wait for a man, A company of priests do murder -- the way to Shechem, For wickedness they have done.
10 In the house of Israel I have seen a horrible thing, There [is] the whoredom of Ephraim -- defiled is Israel.
11 Also, O Judah, appointed is a harvest to thee, In My turning back [to] the captivity of My people!

Hosea 7:1-16
When I want to heal Israel, the evil acts of Ephraim are exposed, and the wicked deeds of Samaria. They deceive and steal, a thief breaks in; a group of bandits raid outside.
But they don’t reason within their hearts that I remember all their wickedness. Now their deeds show who they are, before my face.
Through their wickedness they make the king glad, and give joy to the officials with their lies.
They all act like adulterers; they are like a heated oven, whose baker doesn’t need to stoke the fire from the kneading of the dough until it is leavened.
On the day of our king, the officials became sick with the heat of wine; he stretched out his hand to those who mocked him.
They approach like a hot oven, their hearts burning. Throughout the night, their anger smolders; in the morning, it continues to burn like a flaming fire.
All of them are hot as an oven; they devour their rulers. All their kings have died; none of them call upon me.
Ephraim mixes himself among the people; Ephraim is like flatbread that is cooked on only one side.
Strangers have consumed his power, yet he doesn’t realize it; gray hairs are sprinkled here and there upon him, yet he doesn’t know it.
Israel’s pride is a witness against him; yet they don’t return to the Lord their God, or seek him because of all this.
Ephraim has become like a dove, silly and without common sense; they call upon Egypt; they go to Assyria.
As they go, I will catch them in My net; like birds in the sky, I will take them down; I will judge them according to the report made to their assembly.
Doom to them, for they have left me; destruction will be their lot because they are rebellious against Me. I would redeem them, but they speak lies against Me.
They don’t call to me from the heart, yet they sob upon their beds; they fight over grain and wine --- they resist me.
It was I who gave them their power, yet they plot evil against Me.
They return, but not to the Most High; they have become like a worthless bow; their officials shall fall by the sword because of their raging tongues;
in Egypt they will make fun of them.
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
1 `When I give healing to Israel, Then revealed is the iniquity of Ephraim, And the wickedness of Samaria, For they have wrought falsehood, And a thief doth come in, Stript off hath a troop in the street,
2 And they do not say to their heart, [That] all their evil I have remembered, Now compassed them have their doings, Over-against My face they have been.
3 With their wickedness they make glad a king, And with their lies -- princes.
4 All of them [are] adulterers, Like a burning oven of a baker, He ceaseth from stirring up after kneading the dough, till its leavening.
5 A day of our king! Princes have polluted themselves [with] the poison of wine, He hath drawn out his hand with scorners.
6 For they have drawn near, As an oven [is] their heart, In their lying in wait all the night sleep doth their baker, Morning! he is burning as a flaming fire.
7 All of them are warm as an oven, And they have devoured their judges, All their kings have fallen, There is none calling unto Me among them.
8 Ephraim! among peoples he mixeth himself, Ephraim hath been a cake unturned.
9 Devoured have strangers his power, And he hath not known, Also old age hath sprinkled [itself] on him, And he hath not known.
10 And humbled hath been the excellency of Israel to his face, And they have not turned back unto Jehovah their God, Nor have they sought Him for all this.
11 And Ephraim is as a simple dove without heart, Egypt they called on -- [to] Asshur they have gone.
12 When they go I spread over them My net, As the fowl of the heavens I bring them down, I chastise them as their company hath heard.
13 Wo to them, for they wandered from Me, Destruction to them, for they transgressed against Me, And I -- I ransom them, and they have spoken lies against Me,
14 And have not cried unto Me with their heart, but howl on their beds, For corn and new wine they assemble themselves, They turn aside against Me.
15 And I instructed -- I strengthened their arms, And concerning Me they think evil!
16 They turn back -- not to the Most High, They have been as a deceitful bow, Fall by sword do their princes, From the insolence of their tongue, This [is] their derision in the land of Egypt!
When I want to heal Israel, the evil acts of Ephraim are exposed, and the wicked deeds of Samaria. They deceive and steal, a thief breaks in; a group of bandits raid outside.

They return, but not to the Most High; they have become like a worthless bow; their officials shall fall by the sword because of their raging tongues;
in Egypt they will make fun of them.

Hosea 8:1-14
“ALARM! The enemy swoops down like an eagle on the Lord's chosen, for they broke my covenant and revolted against My law.
Now Israel pleads to Me, ‘Help us, because you are our God!’
But it's too late. The people of Israel have rejected what is right, and now their enemies will pursue them.
The people have appointed kings without My consent, and princes without My approval. Designing idols for themselves from silver and gold, they have set into motion their own destruction.
O Samaria, I reject this calf idol you designed. My fury is ignited against you. How long will you be incapable of innocence?
This calf you worship, O Israel, was crafted by your own hands! It is not God! Therefore, it must be smashed.
They have planted the wind and will harvest a tornado. The stalks of grain wither and produce no seeds. And any grain there is foreigners take.
The people of Israel have been swallowed up; they exist among the nations like an old broken pot.
Like a wild donkey looking for a mate, they have gone up to Assyria. The people of Israel have prostituted themselves—selling themselves to many lovers.
But though they have sold themselves for many alliances, I will now pull them together for judgment. Then they be in pain under the burden of the great king.
Israel constructed many altars for the removal of sin, but these very altars became places to sin!
Even though I gave them all My laws, they act as if the laws don’t apply to them.
The people love to offer sacrifices to Me, to eat the meat, but I do not accept their sacrifices. I will hold My chosen accountable for their sins. I will punish them. They will return to Egypt.
Israel has forgotten its Maker and built great palaces, and Judah has fortified its cities. But I will send down fire upon their cities and will incinerate their fortifications.”
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
1 `Unto thy mouth -- a trumpet, As an eagle against the house of Jehovah, Because they transgressed My covenant, And against My law they have rebelled.
2 To Me they cry, `My God, we -- Israel -- have known Thee.'
3 Cast off good hath Israel, an enemy pursueth him.
4 They have made kings, and not by Me, They have made princes, and I have not known, Their silver and their gold they have made to them idols, So that they are cut off.
5 Cast off hath thy calf, O Samaria, Burned hath Mine anger against them, Till when are they not capable of purity?
6 For even it [is] of Israel; an artificer made it, And it [is] not God, For the calf of Samaria is fragments!
7 For wind they sow, and a hurricane they reap, Stalk it hath none -- a shoot not yielding grain, If so be it yield -- strangers do swallow it up.
8 Israel hath been swallowed up, Now they have been among nations, As a vessel in which is no delight.
9 For they -- they have gone up [to] Asshur, A wild ass alone by himself [is] Ephraim, They have hired lovers!
10 Also though they hire among nations, Now I gather them, and they are pained a little, From the burden of a king of princes.
11 Because Ephraim did multiply altars to sin, They have been to him altars to sin.
12 I write for him numerous things of My law, As a strange thing they have been reckoned.
13 The sacrifices of Mine offerings! They sacrifice flesh, and they eat, Jehovah hath not accepted them, Now doth He remember their iniquity, And inspect their sin, They -- [to] Egypt they turn back.
14 And forget doth Israel his Maker, and buildeth temples, And Judah hath multiplied cities of defence, And I have sent a fire into his cities, And it hath consumed their palaces!

Re: Bible verse by verse
Hosea 9:1-17
Don't gloat, Dear Israel! Do not be happy like everyone else, for you have played the whore straying from your God. You have enjoyed a prostitute’s wages on every threshing floor.
The threshing floor and the winepress will not feed them, and the new wine will do nothing for her.
They will not reside in the land of the Lord; but Ephraim will return to Egypt, and they will eat unclean things in Assyria.
They will not "waste" wine offerings to the Lord, and their sacrifices will not please Him.
Their sacrifices will be like the bread of mourners; all who eat of it will be defiled.
For their bread will be but for themselves to enjoy; it will not come into the house of the Lord.
How will you behave on the appointed day, and on the day of the festival of the Lord?
For really they are gone because of destruction. Egypt will reap them, and Memphis will bury them,
Nettles will claim their nice things of silver, and thorns will come into their tents.
The time of punishment has arrived; the moment of payment has come. Israel imagines! The prophet is a fool --- the man of the spirit is insane, because of your great sin and great hatred.
The watchman of Ephraim is a prophet for my God; yet a bird's trap is in his every direction, and hatred in the house of his God.
They have deeply corrupted themselves as in the days of Gibeah. He will remember their sin and will punish it.
Like a treat in the wilderness, I established Israel. Like the first fruit on the fig tree in its first season, I observed your forebearers. But they went to Baal Peor and pleaded themselves to a thing of shame,
and they became disgusting just like the thing they loved.
As for Ephraim, their glory shall escape away like a bird: no birth, no pregnancy, no conception!
Though they bring up their children, I will bereave them until none are left. Misery to them, when I leave them!
Just as I saw Ephraim like Tyre, established in a pleasant local, so now Ephraim will deliver his children for sacrafice.
Give them? Dear Lord—give them what? Give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts.
All their wickedness is in Gilgal, for there I despised them. Because of their wicked deeds, I will chase them from My house. I will love them no more. All their princes are rebels.
Ephraim is attacked, their root is dead, they shall bear no fruit. Even though they give birth, I will bring miscarriages.
My God will reject them because they did not pay mind to Him, and they will be gypsies among the nations.
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
1 `Rejoice not, O Israel, be not joyful like the peoples, For thou hast gone a-whoring from thy God, Thou hast loved a gift near all floors of corn.
2 Floor and wine-press do not delight them, And new wine doth fail in her,
3 They do not abide in the land of Jehovah, And turned back hath Ephraim [to] Egypt, And in Asshur an unclean thing they eat.
4 They pour not out wine to Jehovah, Nor are they sweet to Him, Their sacrifices [are] as bread of mourners to them, All eating it are unclean: For their bread [is] for themselves, It doth not come into
the house of Jehovah.
5 What do ye at the day appointed? And at the day of Jehovah's festival?
6 For, lo, they have gone because of destruction, Egypt gathereth them, Moph burieth them, The desirable things of their silver, Nettles possess them -- a thorn [is] in their tents.
7 Come in have the days of inspection, Come in have the days of recompence, Israel doth know! a fool [is] the prophet, Mad [is] the man of the Spirit, Because of the abundance of thine iniquity, And
great [is] the hatred.
8 Ephraim is looking [away] from My God, The prophet! a snare of a fowler [is] over all his ways, Hatred [is] in the house of his God.
9 They have gone deep -- have done corruptly, As [in] the days of Gibeah, He doth remember their iniquity, He doth inspect their sins.
10 As grapes in a wilderness I found Israel, As the first-fruit in a fig-tree, at its beginning, I have seen your fathers, They -- they have gone in [to] Baal-Peor, And are separated to a shameful thing, And are become abominable like their love.
11 Ephraim [is] as a fowl, Fly away doth their honour, without birth, And without womb, and without conception.
12 For though they nourish their sons, I have made them childless -- without man, Surely also, wo to them, when I turn aside from them.
13 Ephraim! when I have looked to the rock, Is planted in comeliness, And Ephraim [is] to bring out unto a slayer his sons.
14 Give to them, Jehovah -- what dost Thou give? Give to them miscarrying womb, and dry breasts.
15 All their evil [is] in Gilgal, Surely there I have hated them, Because of the evil of their doings, Out of My house I do drive them, I add not to love them, all their heads [are] apostates.
16 Ephraim hath been smitten, Their root hath dried up, fruit they yield not, Yea, though they bring forth, I have put to death the desired of their womb.
17 Reject them doth my God, Because they have not hearkened to Him, And they are wanderers among nations!
Don't gloat, Dear Israel! Do not be happy like everyone else, for you have played the whore straying from your God. You have enjoyed a prostitute’s wages on every threshing floor.
