Well, first of all, a person needs to be baptized and then receive the laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost just as it was done in the primitive church. After that, then they are entitled to that gift if they are worthy, and if and when it is received that it is a powerful burning witness which is unmistakable.

If nobody has been able to explain it to you before you have had it, then how do you know that what you had was it once you'd had it?

Many other people in the FLDS/Seventh Day Adventist/Scientologist/Catholic etc Church have described the same burning feelings that you have experienced when they have reached conclusions opposite to yours.
