Philo Sofee wrote:I thought Society had sunk so low because of their belief in God. All they had to go on was we don't know but God Did It. Little did they know but that doesn't explain anything to them about anything. Galileo in that regard was the savior of humanity for getting us to use our brains again.
Why do you sin? What is sin? What is salvation? What happens if one isn't saved? What must one do to be saved? Who is Jesus? What is the Messiah? Where was the Savior to be born? To what tribe was the Savior to be born? What did the Savior have to do? Why did he do this?
Here are just a few questions. What does science have to say?

Those are all internal religious concepts. They are no more real than arguing about bodhisattvas and fairies. Science says about them like it does about your theo-stuff: it's all in your head.
You are the person of one book Aquinas warned us about.

Sin is a human religion invention in order to control people. They create an imaginary problem, and then convince others their imaginary solution is what you need.

"Dr. Peterson and his Callithumpian cabal of BYU idiots have been marginalized by their own inevitable irrelevancy defending a fraud."

like the caring boss: what? don't i know the problems of my underlings? sith i make those for them!
Choyo Chagas is Chairman of the Big Four, the ruler of the planet from "The Bull's Hour" ( Russian: Час Быка), a social science fiction novel written by Soviet author and paleontologist Ivan Yefremov in 1968. Six months after its publication Soviet authorities banned the book and attempted to remove it from libraries and bookshops.

So, clearly science doesn't hold all the answers. And clearly the Bible does answer these questions for which science has no answers. And clearly the Bible is esteemed by Muslims, Buddhists, Hindi and Christians. The religious are hardly clueless; however, many get hung up on works ---- as do some scientists.

Whether you wish to admit it or not, you are being manipulated and controlled by science everyday. You are being told what to think, how to communicate, how to interact, and what is most important for man to do to continue living on this earth according to "scientific" studies/research.
One is either led by the Spiritual or the material. You are under the control of the material.
Tell me, how was what Hitler accomplished for the Jews any different than what Oppenheimer accomplished for the Japanese --------- if not for considerations of sin?

Philo Sofee I have long, as long as I can remember, though sin was some form of abuse of neighbors or preparation for such abuse. It would be as much a concrete, real, this world problem as any. It is a problem the world suffers seriously from and to which we would like more and better answers. It seems like a problem that touches on both science and religion.
In that view however it may be seen that pride in ones religion may be a sin. Failure to respect other people with different views about religion would also be sin. There have been religious leaders deeply lost in sin.

Science never claims to hold all the answers.
You need to be more specific in what you claim the Bible claims to answer.
Jews only claim part of the Old Testament. Muslims believe Jesus was a prophet. Buddhists have no personal God. Hindu's have thousands of manifestations of God. Christians are divided as to what they accept as Scripture. The Catholic Bible is much bigger that the Protestant one.
I never said the religious are clueless. About 40% of all American scientists are religious.
Science is only about what works. IE; If the most scientifically advanced device ever made, the computer you are using right now didn't work, you'd throw it out.

Wow. You can't see the difference? You should talk to some people who survived Pearl Harbor and the Holocaust. Talk to the Chinese--and Russians and Americans--who were experimented on by Unit 731. Get your head out of the Bible, it's blinding you.
