Sounds like you are saying that a story not based on actual incidents can still have value. That would indicate we should not toss aside far fetched stories as being mythical and therefore worthless, right?

The Mesopotamian Epics were pagan corruptions of a God inspired oral account of the historic event. It is also possible that Moses was familiar with Egyptian texts pertaining to the Flood. Anyway God told Moses the facts, as He gave Moses the LAW.

I think laws that treat women as property valued by an intact hymen are misogynistic and disgusting. I think buying and selling women (or men) is deplorable.
