I guess there is no introduction forum. I'm strictly gmail, so I had to bend and open up a yahoo acount just to post here. . . kind of irritatin' if ya ask me(hatin' on gmailers and all)!
I post at other forums under the same username, but for those of you that don't follow other forums, I am unofficially ExMormon. Also am not proud of my childhood indoctrination. . . furious even at times. So hi everyone! Let's get this ball rollin'.
See ya in the forums!

Welcome, Amy/Redefined!
I apologize about the gmail thing. The problem was, the board was getting spammed with multiple spam- and porn-bots on a daily basis. The great majority of them registered under gmail addresses. I got sick and tired of trying to keep up with it all, so I just disabled gmail and locked out about 90% of them in the process.
So, I apologize for the inconvenience, but I had to do it for my sanity.

Why are you an ex-mormon. What is it that made you take another way? Are you q believer in Jesus Christ as the son of G-d who is the only way to salvation of the sould and eternal life in your spirit? Im not LDS but have been seriously looking at their doctrine. It amazed me at the start how many ''CHRISTIANS"" have a strong opinion about Mormonism and have never read the Book of Mormon. I think this very strange.

How much do you know about Scientology? Do you also find it odd that people don't spend a lot of time investigating it? You know what amazes me... people can actually place faith in magic rocks, because that's where the Book of Mormon came from... magic rocks in a hat. I don't need to read the Book of Mormon to conclude I do not believe in magic rocks.

Hi Technite,
I'm ex-mormon because I came to the realization that the LDS religion isn't what I was raised to believe it was. "Oh say, What is truth?". . . well nobody can say, and that is where I'm at right now philosophically.
I wouldn't define myself as a Christian. However, I do believe in the virtues that he and other religious figures are used to represent.
I have read the Book of Mormon. . . a couple of times. Maybe it doesn't count since I was an indoctrinated youth when I read it, so I really couldn't have taken a unbiased approach.
"Strong opinions" are unavoidable when it comes to religion. . .being Christian doesn't make one immune to forming them. . . I would even venture to say it may make one more susceptible. Ever see "Jesus Camp"?
