Re: Church Directions for Members
If we don't understand about things where we've been, then it might not really matter much where we're going.
If we want to forget and bury the place we've been, then we need to go in a direction that slowly or faster than slowly takes us away from what we want to forget.
If we're happy and proud of where we've been, we might of learned something about where we can go to continue to be happy.
If we don't really know where we've been cause we've been following people here and there and getting distracted, it would be good to head out into something that fits your soul and grabs your interest, and maybe actually teach you something, God Bless it.
Speaking of the church; when they can get their stories straight about where we've been, and if they seem reliable, then I think where we go from there is the most important place we can be.
WAIT!! I just had a little epiphany... I'm picking where we're heading cuz we have some influence over how that turns out....

Ultimately, I think that where we are going is more important because I have always believed that the only way anyone can move is forward. You can't change the past. As much as we would like to at times, it's impossible.
I do think, however, that it is important for members to honestly understand the past. It's difficult to move forward without that understanding.
I don't think that the Church's past should be sugar-coated or buried. As members who are committing our time, our money, and our very culture, we deserve nothing less than the truth, regardless of how ugly that may be.
