Red wine, or white before being martyred?

The evening before the mob stormed the Carthage Jail Joseph and friends sent out for wine and apparently enjoyed it before retiring for the night.
Red or White? Fruite, full bodied or what?
What wine goes with martyr status?
And yes, I guess one can be a martyr even if they fight back and kill two in the process. But they certainly aren't 'as a lamb sled to the slaughter' when doing so.
