I just ran across the a site that claims that they have received a revelation the provides mankind with knowledge contained in the sealed portion of the Book of Mormon. Wow, quite a claim. Anyone know of this guy? I think he's RLDS. Here's the site:

Re: Sealed Portion of the Book of Mormon now revealed
I've read some of that before. The sealed portion just gets ridiculous, especially when they get to where Jared meets Heavenly Mother with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Anyway the sealed portion is supposed to be like twice the length of the Book of Mormon, yet this covers barely a third of that length.
There's a FAIRwiki page about him here

Apparently he believes he's the reincarnation of Hyrum Smith... :)

Christopher Nemelka is not RLDS.
FAIRwiki has an entry about him which the bulk of the information is taken from an article written by Ben Fulton of the City Weekly. Below is the link to Christopher Nemelka's response to that article:
http://www.marvelousworkandawonder.com/ ... cmn006.htm
Nemelka also has written a book called: 666 Mark of America, Seat of The Beast--Apostle John's New Testament Revelation Unfolded. He claims that it is a complete explanation of all the symbolism in the book of Revelation, and that John himself is the one that gave him that explanation (citing Book of Mormon references that John himself is responsible to give that explanation to the world). He also wrote a book called Sacred Not Secret: The Official Guide In Understanding The LDS Temple Endowment. He claims that Joseph Smith gave him the explanation of the endowment along with the original wording of it.
Nemelka also wrote: Human Reality-- Who We Are And Why We Exist. Basically claiming that it is the "truth of all things from before the foundation of the world to the end thereof."
He apparently is working on writing "The Authorized and Official Biography of the Mormon Prophet Joseph Smith," claiming to write it under the direct auspices of the resurrected Joseph Smith. What a claim! Two parts of the appendix are completed which are entitled: "Mormon Polygamy: The Truth Unveiled"; and "The LDS Priesthood Unveiled," which both can be accessed on his site (links below). He cross references all his notes with the History of the Church which makes it even more interesting.

I followed a yahoo discussion group "marvelousworkandawonder" with him as the moderator but he shut it down and now he is just doing a "journal" on his main site. I know that several months ago he mentioned Fairwiki on the discussion board and wanted to contact them to put a side by side rebuttal to what they did or add a link to a rebuttal, etc...but I don't know what came of that or if he even cared to pursue that.

I browsed through this and found it to be contrived. No truth bells were ringing for me. Besides, as I understand the endowment, this book contradicted things considerably. For starters, they have no clue who their Heavenly Mother actually is to speak of Her as this material does.
I also find its association with WWI no surprise. This organization is essentially communism with a pretty veneer around it. I had some dialog with their proponents some years ago and it didn't take long to get to the root of the spirit behind them. Tread lightly here folks.

Pepsiboy, Thanks for the information. It's interesting, seems Christopher can put together balone and well as Joseph Smith. But is he as good of a flinflamman, can he sell it to "believers".
It would be interesting if there was a contest to see who create the best new religion that has the fewest conflicts with science. It would need to be a complete religion has its own scripture, ceremonies and dogma. It should not stim from any current religous thought but could include ideas from various religions, such as do to others as you would have them do to you. That sort of thing. As far as the source to be claimed try to make it believable. That might be difficult. The religion needs to be able to be compatable with scientific theories.
I think Christopher might be able to do a half desent job.
What qualities and philosophies would your religion have. In otherwords what are the majority of people looking for in a religion?
Aim at at nothing and you're sure to hit it.

Re: Sealed Portion of the Book of Mormon now revealed
I read some of Nemalka's work and FAIR's analysis of him. FAIR cites some issues that they consider important enough to state the following:
The "Book of Lehi" is a clumsy forgery that fails even a cursory analysis.
It's interesting to note that most of their issues are relatively minor but FAIR dismisses it because of these minor issues such as the Book of Mormon states that the Lord shows Nephi in revelation how to build a ship but in Nemelka's Book of Lehi it says Nephi built the ship "according to the promptings of the spirit."
This sounds like semantics. Now I don't believe that Nemelka's Lost Pages are scripture either but if FAIR applied the same logic and scrutiny to the Book of Mormon as they do to the Lost 116 Pages by Nemelka, they may have to declare the Book of Mormon a clumsy forgery that fails even a cursory analysis also.
