Peter and Paul

I know that it is not church authorized but last night I watched the end of the second part of a PBS show called Peter and Paul.

Do people really know that much about these two disciples? Why did Peter insist that Christian Gentiles observe Kosher eating habits and table manners? To be honest, I don't know much about Peter or Paul, but does your average Christian know anything more about this than a Mormmon missionary?

They may have more extensive Bible study, what with their classes and Bible camps. Fret not, because LDS Missonaries can quote the Book of Mormon better than most all of them. Even in the Bible, we know some selected verses that support our own contentions better than they do. As our Book of Mormon study is now, they may become.

When you speak of Peter and Paul, do not forget about Mary Travers.

I suggest that you review Acts 10-11, 15 and Gal. 2. Many evangelicals know some details about these passages. I'm not sure if it's a majority.

That was some wild goose chase. I was trying to figure out what Biblical role or information she had about the Biblical Peter and Paul even without taking into consideration that she happens to be in a band with two guys named Peter and Paul. I will have to remember that my naïvété here is really a disadvantage that I must learn to overcome.

Are you trying to avoid non church authorized shows about Christianity?
