New Book on Joseph Smith Papyri from Mike Rhodes
I'm very happy to report that I now have, in my possession, not only Brian M. Hauglid's previously announced volume, A Textual History of the Book of Abraham: Manuscripts and Editions, but Michael D. Rhodes's Books of the Dead Belonging to Tshemmin and Nefernirnub; A Translation and Commentary.
Like the new volume from Dr. Hauglid, the new Rhodes volume is part of the Maxwell Institute's series "Studies in the Book of Abraham," which is also distributed through the University of Chicago Press. (They are, respectively, volumes five and four in that series. Traditions about the Early Life of Abraham, The Hor Book of Breathings: A Translation and Commentary, and Astronomy, Papyrus, and Covenant were volumes one through three.)

Does anyone know if Rhodes' translation differs from Baer's and Ritner's?

Baer and Ritner translated only the Hor papyrus. For whatever reason, the Tshenmin and Neferirnub papyri have been largely overlooked in the scholarly literature to date. Rhodes's volume is therefore a hugely important contribution.

You all do realize that Joseph Smith pulled off the so called Book of Abraham "translation" only as a way to get more girls right?

My mistake. I thought Baer and Ritner had translated all of them.

Wherein it is revealed that Abraham, in order to supplement his income, got a part-time job as an Egyptian embalmer.

A better title would have been, The Book of Joseph: A Translation of some ancient Records that have fallen into our hands from the catacombs of the Metropolitan Museum. The writings of Joseph while he was in Egypt, written by his own hand, upon papyrus.

So, with Joseph Smith using power and authority from God - these new books show his translation was correct, right?
Does he show which writings are the ones done personally by the hand of Abraham?
