Clayton Christensen, "The Survivor"
Forbes has a lengthy but very good, even inspiring, cover story
http://www.forbes.com/forbes/2011/0314/ ... vivor.html
on my old friend Clayton Christensen, whom I have known since our freshman year at BYU and who was one of the first contributors to "Mormon Scholars Testify":

Re: Clayton Christensen, "The Survivor"
I applaud your efforts in exposing us to high quality individuals like Clayton Christensen. The linked information has already been of some value to me.
Not that I am looking to open a discussion, but the Forbes article and Clayton's web site got me to pondering whether there may have been disruptive innovations in religion. Something to consider.
Thanks, -Wade Englund-

That question was ever in any doubt?
Do you mean to tell us that you've looked at, say, fundamentalist Islam and failed to notice any disruptive innovations therein?

I refer readers to my sig line for some background information and a possible clue as to why this odd thread exists.
Here is an article - published in a venue very similar to Mormon Times - that I found relevant to this thread: http://www.stuffhollywoodassistantslike ... pping.html

LOL! Cute article!
So, Eric, since you're in that neck of the woods, have you ever met anyone famous? Name drop, I beg you! ;-)

I apologize for my insensitivity.
I have lots of friends, and I take the idea of multiple friendships for granted. It's all too easy to forget that, for some unfortunates, to claim to have a friend might seem to be to boast about an essentially unbelievable achievement.

LOL. Am I mad?
Nope. I'm head out the door for dinner with friends from the Olympic Peninsula in Washington, which will be followed by a Chanticleer concert.
Mad? Not even slightly. Don't flatter yourself.

I've noticed disruption, though I am not sure it would amount to innovation. Were you assuming that all disruptions are innovative?
