Will the righteous Mormon men gain more wives after death or not? What is the Church's position on this issue?
Also, will women's marriages to less righteous men be annulled so they can get with the more spiritually endowed?

Thomas S gets to have his pick of all the TBM guys' wives who got married during his administration.
Verily, it's good to be king.

Buffalo... Your post above clearly shows your moral and intellectual corruption.
Know-one should even bother wasting time talking to you.
As to the OP, the Church has no "official" position on your first question. It is simply a popular assumption and reasoning for part of the reasons for Plural Marriage. Your second question is the same, a popular and reasoned assumption. It only makes sense that the worthy will be with the worthy.

No, this is an example of moral corruption:
Brigham Young, talking to an unfortunate brother who was legally married to a woman that Brigham Young was stealing from him - Young also stole his children:
"Brother Jacobs," he says, "the woman you claim for a wife does not belong to you. She is the spiritual wife of brother Joseph, sealed up to him. I am his proxy, and she, in this behalf, with her children, are my property. You can go where you please, and get another, but be sure to get one of your own kindred spirit."
Neither Brigham nor Joseph were ever legally married to this woman (Zina D. H. Young). They were just shacking up with her.
Notice that the good prophet treats women as his personal property.

And was a scumbag because of it, in my opinion.
I'm sorry. I would like an apologist here to answer how this action was justified.

I doubt you'll get a real response there. Joseph Smith also thought of women as no more than property.

I hope you're wrong. I would really like to see Dr. Peterson's take on this issue.

Actually, this is usually when apologists whip out their handy dandy Old Testament and quote where Jehovah gave wives to David...or Solomon...who the heck can keep track.
See? It's GOD that thinks women are property. Now everyone is excused.
Women as property is pretty much encoded in the 10 Commandments and the 100+ laws of Moses.

Using the Old Testament as a standard of morality is a huge fail. Modern prophets also claim that women are now equal to men - I guess feminism isn't so evil after all, since it's obviously affected doctrine. But aside from that, when did God ever let anyone "marry" already married women?

When did God ever stop it? Ha!
I am telling you, over on that other board they pull out grotesque Old Testament verses about wives being given to David as a reward as justification. It's been done here, too.
Here is an example where God gives married women to another man:
2 Sam. 12:11 Thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them unto thy neighbour, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun.
